Alone in the Dark is a decent game that skillfully weaves together the existential dread of cosmic horror with the sinister charm of the Southern Gothic.

Combined with the 2.0 update and the Phantom Liberty expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 has securely positioned itself within my Top 10 favorite games of all time. Beneath the veneer of violence and edginess, the existential core of the cyberpunk realm is laid bare, unveiling a narrative profoundly attuned to the toll on both human life and the human spirit. The stark contrasts of a high-tech, low-life world peel back the layers of superficial progress, exposing the raw human condition beneath the shimmering facade of Night City. Phantom Liberty delves into this abyss with a discerning gaze, exploring the cruel, sobering, and bittersweet dance of existence amidst a backdrop of neon-lit nihilism and fleeting hope. The struggle for identity, purpose, and a sliver of redemption within a mechanized, indifferent universe underscores a tale that's as harrowing as it is beautiful. Phantom Liberty is a masterpiece that lingers in the heart long after it fades to black.

In Starfield, each star a destination, each planet an untold story, calling us to explore. The game captures that age-old dream of exploration, the one that had us staring at the night sky, imagining worlds beyond our reach. Starfield is a flawed masterpiece, at this stage almost bare bones in its offering but with time (updates and mods), the game's universe will expand and refine, just as our understanding of the real one does. see you space cowboy.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a masterpiece. Building upon the rich legacy of the series, it offers a compelling narrative set in the immersive world of Dungeons & Dragons, enhanced by breathtaking visuals and meticulously crafted environments. The engaging turn-based combat is both strategic and satisfying, while the intricate storylines and character interactions provide depth. Character customization and a branching plot allow for a personalized gaming experience that encourages multiple playthroughs. Its success lies in its perfect harmony of storytelling, gameplay mechanics, and artistic direction. The scope of the whole experience marks it as not just a game but an enchanting epic, sung by the modern-day digital bards of Larian Studios. Destined to be a benchmark for RPGs to come, it sets a new gold standard. This game isn't merely a contender for game of the year; in my opinion, it's a strong contender for the best game of all time.

Naughty Dog has taken what they learnt from crafting the Uncharted franchise and spun that experience into a masterpiece of storytelling and modern game design. From the rich complex combat system to the sublime sound design, this game immerses the player in one of the most visually arresting games of all time. The ambivalence of the human soul, the poignant portrayal of conflicting choices and morals are all beautifully written and played. and yes, Joel Is a monster but this is a world for monsters.

Death Stranding is a peculiar masterpiece of post-apocalyptic science fiction but beware it is not for everyone.

Great atmosphere, decent story and fun gameplay but more importantly it is a spiritual sequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
