I'm really enjoying the game so far, I think for what it is, and the price, it's worth picking up if you enjoy fishing games. I've been fishing all my life, and been playing fishing games too since snes, sega, playstation, most pc fishing games, and this is not as bad as a lot of the reviews are making it out to be, it is a fun fishing game so far, I've definitely played a lot worse that cost more, and if it's anything like their other games, it will be getting a lot of additions that will keep it getting better in the future. I can agree with some of the reviews, the water doesn't look great, it actually looks better to me on low graphics than high or ultra, but at the end of the day, I'm not playing the game for the look of the water.

The gameplay is good so far, a lot of map to explore, a lot of collectible/scavenger stuff to find around the map, and a lot of different places for different types of fish. The things I'm not a big fan of so far is the strike/setting the hook is super arcadey, pretty much like a sega or snes type fishing game. The quests/missions, especially early on have goals that finish way too quick, after only catching 1 fish, so you end up picking up a ton of quests early that you're not going to be able to do for a long time on your current gear, and the presence of so many quest makes it feel like you should be doing quests, when in reality you should just be fishing for whatever you can catch on your current gear. The leveling and currency feel kinda weird, you do progress as you fish, how you gain credits is really unclear other than just keep fishing, wish it was a little more clear what the ratio was for credits, or what it is you're getting the credits for doing (size, weight, new fish, largest catch of that fish, whatever it is, would be nice to know).

The parts of the game I am really loving so far is just how big the map is, the way you travel around the lake in your car, or getting around in the boat makes it feel a lot more like going to a real lake than other fishing games for me. Even though the strike/setting the hook is really arcadey at the moment, the actual fighting the fish is really fun imo, if you're fishing for what your gear is able to handle, and a little bigger, then adjusting the drag, and letting them run some, and feeling them fight feels great to me right now. The best part by far to me is the ability to pull up on the rod while you're fighting the fish and then reeling up the slack, this is how you muscle in a big fish for real, and is so painfully obviously lacking in other games when trying to reel in very large fish in those games and pulling up on the rod does basically nothing there. The multiplayer I think already has more to offer than other fishing games available atm as well.

Overall, I'd say if you love fishing games, you'll enjoy this, it's only 25 bucks and there is not a ton of diverse content in the base game right now, only 1 locale even though it's huge you'll be fishing for very basic fish right now, but I'd say it's definitely worth getting if you like that kind of setting/gameplay. Very much looking forward to all the new maps and areas, fish types, rods, reels, fishing types they plan on adding, because they added a lot to thehunter over time, and can only assume this game will be getting the same type of future support as far as additions/dlcs are concerned. I'm really hoping they add bottom fishing setups in future updates, and really can't wait for a Gulf/saltwater fishing dlc, hoping to get a map with redfish, black drum, sheepshead, croakers, flounders, mackerel, etc. at some point.

Such an amazing blend of building, exploration, survival type games in a voxel world, and a great viking fantasy setting. Terraria/Starbound like progression and armor sets, Ark/Conan survival feel of a 3d world with snap building and weapons with a few different attacks and blocking/dodging, even timed parries for staggering enemies, terraforming and resource transport of games like Life is Feudal, it really is such a perfect blend.

The map is huge, after a few days of playing, still have only seen a small portion, and more and more things I didn't even think of being able to do in the game keep popping up or being discovered as you advance your exploration and equipment and tools.

The FEELING of the game really takes me back to the immersion I felt in old Everquest 20 years ago, tight dark dungeons, HUGE screen shaking scary enemies, the feeling of the fantasy world is great. I really wish an MMO would go this direction with game play, like a modern day Ultima type game but in a 3D persistent world. It is everything and more that I was hoping to get out of New World, just in co-op instead of MMO form, and feels way better than New World does atm as far as progression and exploration and excitement to discover the world. After playing Landmark for EQN years ago, the voxel world and destruction in this game has come soooo far since those days, and this game has done a great job blending the voxel world with textured objects for great immersion and feeling without a huge loss to performance.

It really tweaks a lot of small annoyances for quality of life compared to other survival games, like making it so you aren't required to eat every 5 minutes or die, and adding a way to make you want to combine multiple food types with a bonus instead of a penalty for doing/not doing it. It really is a relief after playing a lot of survival games that try to drive game play through making you need to eat 10+ steaks just to live through 1 game day.

Overall, I would say if you love survival progression, or co-op survival games with building and combat and sailing, all in a viking fantasy setting, you should definitely check it out. Well worth the $20 compared to most similar games.

The best new co-op game I've played on Steam in a long time.

Amazing game, the combat is very fun and challenging, a lot of different weapon options for different play styles. Starting fresh there is hundreds of hours of content just playing through the base game, and then Iceborne adds at least double that, if not more content to the game. Definitely worth playing through if you like action or rpg games. The skill system / decoration slots add a lot of depth with a pretty simple system, letting you really customize your weapons and armor for a very large amount of build options. While not being a persistent world MMO, it really is one of the best MMO like experiences I have played in a very long time, with hundreds, if not thousands of hours of progression.

I've had this game on my wishlist for 2+ years now, the prologue was fun, and the current game expands on that. If you like turn based rpg/grid movement games like Tales of Maj'Eyal or Dungeons of Dredmor or those types of RPGS, you'll definitely enjoy Stone Shard, I'm not really sure how much there is to it at the moment, but definitely enough content for the current asking price considering all the different types of skills/weapon paths in already, and the procedural generation / rng of the encounters/loot spawns in the game.

There was a patch that made it so you had to make a new character and start over to use the new patch, which honestly isn't bad, restarting and trying different skills is just as fun, currently you can't make your own character customized at character select, there is a male and female fighter, a ranger, and a sorceress to choose from for starting skills/attributes, but you can customize them as you level them to do any of the current skills in the game or attributes that you want, seems to be a lot of different loot and types of items already in the game, so if anything else gets added in the future that they've talked about, it will be a bonus to what's already there.

Only real downside I've had with any of the gameplay experience itself is the real lack of inventory, holding your bandages, potions, scrolls, food, water, gold purse and map all in your inventory takes a large chunk of it before any loot, then random encounters between town and a dungeon gives you more, clearing 2, or 3, or 4 floors of dungeon gives you way more loot you have to manage, and you can really only hold a small percent of the loot you come across, and choosing to leave hundreds of gold laying there as you head back to town, or walk all the way back and forth to sell it if you care that much, the armor/weapons from merchants are very expensive compared to the amount of gold you have early on, so it's not like the gold is useless either, or not worth the trip, just really wish some of the inventory space for upkeep items was reduced some, like no need for 2 slot coin purse or 2 slot map or 2 slot waterskin, could just be reduced to 1 each, some of the food is large also.

I think the best addition to the game would be different size containers, like bags / backpacks to place items in, would really help with a lot of the inventory management nightmares, they may be in the game later on that I just haven't got to yet, but haven't seen anything like it yet so not sure.

All of that may well be a non-issue with their proposed caravan system they have talked about adding to the game at a later date, the way the inventory and storage works right now may be based around using that and having it in place, and it will work and feel a lot smoother in the future when that is added to the game.

I personally haven't had any bad experiences with the save system in the game, like a lot of people have complained about, even with limited time to play and trying to get some time in, you can pick up a dungeon quest, go explore it, clear the dungeon, get back to town, sell or throw stuff in a stash and sleep/save. I actually enjoy that version of saving progress over feeling that need to F5 every time you go anywhere, or fight anything constantly. As long as you plan around going back and saving, it doesn't feel like a glaring issue while you're playing the game, haven't run into any issues with it yet at all.

Overall, a really great game if you like turn based rpg game play, definitely worth purchasing now, there's enough to play around with now and enjoy. I really hope they continue the development though, could be a pretty amazing game if they stick to adding content, even future DLC would be great.

Great game, especially with a friend, a lot to explore, and the fighting is fun, a few bugs that could cause you to lose a lot of items but was fixable. Some of the mechanics can get annoying to deal with over time like the heat/cold or getting sick/infections, or dropping your bag and picking it back up every fight, but over all very enjoyable gameplay. I wish they had more gear options/stats to work with, and more large bosses to fight, but the new arenas they added did add a lot more difficult boss fights. Overall really good RPG.

Best hunting game I've ever played. You can enjoy it however you want, just mass killing every animal around, or just having a nice relaxing hunt, sitting in a blind for hours watching for things to walk by, or following tracks/need zones, crawling through high grass, getting in real close with a bow, or across the map with a high powered rifle and scope, really allows for you to enjoy the hunting any way you prefer.

Amazing game, wish there were more like it honestly. Pretty difficult at first, great to play with some friends, still fun alone. Each new game and eventual party wipe feels fun and new with the random maps and items and enemies you get each time. Definitely recommend getting it if you enjoy turn based combat, RPGs, rogue-likes, and co-op games, such a great blend of all those, really wish there were a lot of games like this.

This game is really amazing if you enjoy D&D style turn based tactical combat. The adventure mode isn't out yet, so no quests or towns or trading or exploring or anything. As of right now, you can make characters or use preset character builds, or even get some from the steam workshop if you don't want to spend time making your own. You put together a party of 6, and start fighting battles against NPC monsters, you get XP and loot after each battle, can buy randomly generated loot from the shop after each fight, craft new items, or upgrade current items, rinse and repeat battle after battle.

If you enjoy tactical turn based combat, getting loot, managing stats / feats / skills / spells for characters, you will really love this game, even in the current "arena mode" form, it has all the progression of an in depth RPG, just without the walking around and talking at the moment, just fight after fight. More than once load it up to play for awhile to pass some time, and end up staying up way too late doing "just 1 more fight" and then "just 1 more fight". Great game, really looking forward to the adventure mode.

This is really an amazing game. I've owned it for over a year, and started it up and made a new character with different builds more then a few times, and only saw the first few missions in the game trying them out before stopping again.

Just recently came back to it and decided to finish it, and that is something I recommend everyone interested in the Shadowrun Universe to do, play it through all the way to completion, the end and everything leading up to it really ramps up and plays out amazingly.

There are almost infinite options for how to play the game and where you end up based on the full range of Shadowrun stats and character build options, cyberware, spells, consumables, team story lines, team upgrade options, team mate choices.

The biggest thing that stood out to me with Dragonfall is just how many really huge choices you have to make in the story arc, that have really different impacts on the way it plays out. There are a few really big choices in the game that had me legitimately needing to decide what my characters feelings and point of view on that would be and what they would want out of it, because they aren't good and evil, they aren't right and wrong, they are all gray and may be good for some people or bad for others. I love RPGs but I am normally all about stats and loot and building a great fighter, not caring as much about the characters perspective, but this game really engages you in actually thinking about your character from that angle in your choices.

I really enjoyed all the different ways you have access to overcome different fights or challenges, through charisma, or etiquette, spellcasting or strength, viewing things in the astral plane, or using the matrix and hacking to bypass things.

It is a lot of reading, but well worth it IMO, it does a great job of making you WANT to know the answers to the questions you have, you really feel invested in it by the end and there are some crazy turns you don't see coming but make you even more interested and needing to know more, and I think some of the conversations near the end of the game are insanely deep, with many branching options that are very fulfilling and don't leave you feeling pigeon-holed or wanting, and let you talk your way out of things, and don't leave you feeling like it didn't matter either way which most games with choices do.

Would 100% recommend to anyone interested in great stories, deep stat/character build RPGs, tactical/turn based combat, Elves, Dwarves, Orks, Trolls, Dragons, Magic, Martial Arts, Sniping, Grenade Launchers, Shotguns, Futuristic, Hacking, Cyberdecks, and all the other cyberpunk goodness of the 6th world.

I am REALLY enjoying this game, a real hidden gem that has been under the radar with not much exposure on Twitch or other sites, but love the way it plays and the premise of it.

It is a really nice DNDesque experience, with warriors, clerics, wizards, rogues, rangers, humans, orcs, dwarves, elves, goblins.

It plays a lot like a newer DDO imo, if you have tried that MMO before, better graphics and updated mechanics though.

The game revolves around meeting other players, hanging out in the tavern in town, forming groups and going into a dungeon together, there isn't a huge variety of dungeon types, but the dungeons are pretty huge once inside, and have a nice dungeon crawl feel to them, moving slowly from room to room and killing mages, warriors, skeletons, beasts, and getting loots, tons and tons of loot.

That being said, it is VERY VERY rough and unpolished with tons of bugs and crashes still, at level 1 I joined like 3 different groups and left the game and came back 3 different times and the dungeons wouldn't start until the 4th time I tried and it finally took me into a solo one.

Crashed on zoning more than a few times, fatal error crashes a few times in a few hours of playing, but once you're in the dungeon with some other players and trying to stay alive and struggling room to room crawlin through the dungeon, it really is a ton of fun to find the bosses and get some nice loot drops with good stats.

So if you can get past the bugged out queues, and the crashing, and needing to restart the game a lot, the dungeon crawling and group play and loot of the game are really great for what they already are, hoping they continue to develop and add more to it, that will probably require more people to buy it though, for the $10 sale price there is many hours of enjoyment in it if you love dungeon crawling action with lots of loot, especially with a few friends.
