Great virtual recreation of the table top game. Perfectly brutal and incredibly satisfying when a round finally goes your way. Lots of strategy and different ways to play the game. Even better if you have close friends to play it with. Definitely recommend if you enjoy the table top version of Nemesis or if you just like virtual board games in general.

All I can really say is that I waited 8 years for this game to get ported to North America and it's every bit as good as I hoped it would be and then some. It's a really unique and purely Sega styled approach to an online RPG. Not quite a MMO but not quite a single player game either, it offers plenty of both gameplay styles to scratch both itches.

There is surprisingly a lot of single player story content to digest and tons of multiplayer activities to take part in. Most of the multiplayer content is PvE focused but there is a PvP battle arena mode as well. There is no shortage of content with all 8 years worth of the original PSO2 Japanese version being crammed into this NA release in a 9 month period. There are tons of classes from huge sword and melee wielding characters all the way to rifles, dual uzi's, magic casters and everything in between. And you can master all of the classes on a single character if you wanted.

The gameplay is very smooth, fluid and action packed. Think of a faster paced, slightly more arcadey and colorfully bright version of Monster Hunter. Only with that classic Sega quirkiness embedded through out all of it's DNA. Character customization in this game is on another level. The amount of detail, costumes, weapons, accessories, colors, etc. available to customize your characters is insane. You can really make your characters your own. Fashion is often considered a huge chunk of the end game content in this game and there is a salon where you can constantly tweak and modify your characters' looks to your heart's content.

The game runs butter smooth even on a less than stellar system and still looks absolutely gorgeous. The graphics are dated but are very unique and full of colors and details that are a joy to see in motion. My gaming rig is pretty modest by today's standards and I can enjoy this game in max settings with 100-170 fps at 1440p resolution. My high refresh monitor loves this game and it works flawlessly with Freesync. Controller support is fantastic as are the keyboard and mouse controls. Despite being an action game with consoles in mind it actually plays incredibly well with keyboard + mouse and that is my preferred choice but controllers work just as well.

It is a truly Free to Play game that you can enjoy endlessly without paying anything. There are lots of conveniences from buying in different ways but you are not forced to at any point. The game will obviously show you many ways to pay for things and encourage it at moments (it is free to play afterall) but I have friends in this game who have played it for hundreds of hours without spending anything on it.

The only thing really holding this game back is the atrocious UI and menu hell that you must learn to navigate. Although, I feel this issue is blown out of proportion by many people as it's not that hard to learn. It certainly isn't worse than EVE or even other MMOs out there in that regard.

There is a sequel coming out in 2021 and a majority of the things you earn in PSO2 will carry over to the sequel as well. Both games will co-exist and your account will be seamless between the two once PSO2: New Genesis (title of the new game) launches. So there is no reason to not enjoy this game now in preparation for the new one.

It's an oddly obtuse game that makes it hard to recommend to everyone, mostly due to the aforementioned menu and UI hell. And the gameplay style is obviously not for everyone either. But if you're a fan of fast paced, big stylized action games with over the top missions and bosses bigger than your screen then you should check PSO2 out. If you can move past the menus and get used to the UI there is a fantastically deep game full of single and multi player content to enjoy here.

PSO2 is personally, my Game of the Year for 2020 and definitely among my all-time favorite online multiplayer games already at this point.

Unbelievable value for $10. I literally cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this game. This game helped usher in the indie game boom that is still going strong almost a decade later. It just celebrated it's 9th Anniversary with it's final, massive content update named "Journey's End". Which adds so much new stuff to a game that already had hundreds of hours worth of content.

Right now as I write this review, Terraria is the number 2 most played game on Steam with an all time high of almost 500K simultaneous players!

For a game to be 9 years old and still reaching it's pinnacle in terms of content and player base is just incredible. Due yourself a favor and play Terraria! Even better, play it with some of your close friends.

Instant Classic!

If you love old skool FPS such as Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Blood, Unreal then you owe it to yourself to experience Hedon.

The melee combat and guns are great and feel weighty and meaty. Especially the melee. It is brutal and satisfying. The difficulty is spot on, even on the hardest difficulties. Challenging but fair. The game even includes an extreme difficulty mode called "Bearzerker" that literally forces you to play through the entire game with only melee weapons and actually changes how the game flows to accommodate the melee play style. It is a fantastic way to enjoy the game for a 2nd playthrough.

The levels are massive and it feels like exploring a major world rather than moving through one mission after another. Level transitions work much like HL and HL2. The writing, lore and story are all very nicely done. The dev has created a unique, interesting world that is fun to explore and learn about in game. Much better than the vast majority of story telling and world building in FPS games out there. And it's mostly all done through natural exploration which almost gives it an RPG feeling, which I loved. You are often rewarded with new nuggets of lore and story by exploring and finding secret areas.

I enjoyed the world building and lore so much that I actually voted for this as "Outstanding Story Rich Game" in the 2019 Steam Awards.

This is built from the ground up for the GZ Doom engine, not the original Doom engine. This is not a mod. It is it's own game using a modern, open source engine and all original assets.

My only minor complaint would be that this is only Episode 1 and as such the story is not complete. However, there is more than enough gameplay here to more than warrant the cost and there are tens of hours of great fun to be had here. It is not a "short" game despite only being Episode 1.

The good side of this only being Episode 1 is that it means there is more awesomeness to come. I will be buying the next episode on the day it launches. At the time of this review I do not believe there is a release date for the next episode but the devs have confirmed it is in development.

The cast of characters are very unique and awesome as well. The art style and animations feel great and fit in nicely within the world. The main character Zan has become one of my favorite video game characters. Gotta love that thicc thicc! xD

Keep an eye on this developer and this series! I am very excited to see what they do going forward. I fully recommend this game if you enjoy great old skool FPS such as the ones I listed at the top of the review.

Insta Buy! 20XX is an amazing game and incredible value for your money. The fact the devs are still expanding the game and adding great new characters at incredibly reasonable prices is fantastic. You should absolutely pick up the Draco (and Hawk) DLC characters if you enjoy the base game. Adding this much content to the game for $2 - $3 each is simply, a no brainer.

Seriously, support these devs.

I can't say enough good things about 20XX and the dev team. It was a very successful and transparent Early Access process in which the devs were always listening to and working with the community and their feedback to improve the game. The final game is everything everyone wanted it to be and then some. The devs have never price gouged and continue to pump out great free updates, features and very reasonably priced, awesome DLC.

If I had to nitpick something here I'd say that I wish Draco's new weapons and skills were available for all of the characters, not just him. I am very fond of the other characters as well and would love to try some of those new weapons, skills and gameplay styles on the other characters also. But that's a very minor complaint and I understand the design decision to make Draco unique and offer a new approach to how people play the game.

Easily 10/10 DLC. $2.99 ($1.99 on sale)?! Are you out of your mind?! And tomorrow just happens to be my birthday too?! Sh**, it doesn't get much better than that. Thanks for the early Bday gift, Batterystaple Games! :D <3

Easily one of the top 5 greatest games of all time. I can't even begin to put into words the impact this game has had on me personally as well as video games as a whole. This is a solid PC port as well and a great way to replay or experience the game for the first time.

As a long time Bloodrayne fan I have been wanting and waiting to play this game since I first saw it announced for Xbox 360 and PS3 years ago. Not owning any consoles and being a PC gamer I thought I would never get the chance to play the next installment in the Bloodrayne series. So when I logged into Steam today and saw Bloodrayne: Betrayal had finally made it's way to PC at last, it was an instant purchase and I could not be more satisfied. This game is simply fantastic.

The art style is phenomenal and the soundtrack is perfect for the relentless action going down on screen as you mutiliate everything in sight. The game looks beautiful and runs flawlessly without a hiccup. I highly recommend the Xbox 360 controller which also works and performs flawlessly as expected. I think it would be a very difficult game to play with keyboard and mouse and have not even attempted such myself.

The controls themselves are pretty simplistic but seem to have a fair amount of depth to the different special moves and combos that you can perform. The game heavily encourages you to be stylistic and flawless in your execution with a grade scale for each level. It does not pull any punches and will force you to perfect your vampire slaying art, especially in the later stages. Nailing a fluid combination while dodging enemy attacks and dismembering and feeding on every enemy in sight is a thrill to see play out in perfect, gory animated detail.

Rayne looks as sexy and deadly as ever and with Steam Achievements, Trading Cards and solid performance, this appears to be a fantastic PC port of the console version. If you're a fan of 2D side scrolling hack 'n slash-beat 'em ups, Bloodrayne or both, you definitely do not want to miss this game. It's quite possibly the best Bloodrayne game yet and that's coming from a huge fan of the original two Bloodrayne games.

Simply put, this game kicks ass! Then cuts off it's limbs and sucks the blood out of the remaining torso before carelessly tossing it aside to move onto the next victim. Rayne herself would be proud. Highly Recommended!
