I am thinking about leaving a negative review, but continue playing. Why?

The bugs and issues. I spent *several* hours alone fixing them and of course they ruined my experience.

Bethesda just can't keep getting away with this. It is absolutely obnoxious.

Why do I have to spend 2 solid hours trying to fix a single broken dialogue which locks me in position, requiring me to restart, any time I talk to my companion? Why trying to look for endless web pages, reddit threads, trying to come up with different solutions while restarting the game again and again, realizing I can't come back to an older save? (also the game does not recognize my older save files anymore so I have only saves from level 56 onwards ... )

And other issues, both major and minor, which ruined my experience. Like beginning NG+ and the game does not save anymore (had to use console commands, thank you reddit user suggesting that). Or not being able to recruit one of your companions anymore. Or a faction during a quest who keeps turning hostile for no reason.

It's a punishment, for me while playing. So it has to be a punishment for Bethesda who thinks they can keep getting away with this, because "it just works".

You may ask: "yeah, but aside from the bugs, how's the game?"
"It's ok". It has its pros and cons, but overall, it's not as great as they make it look.
You do have space, you do have worlds and exploration, you have spaceships which you can build and rebuild.
But, you do have only around 30 unique POI in these worlds. Meaning I do not visit them anymore, it's always the same identical building, enemy placed in the same spots. I do not pick locks anymore: the chest may be empty (yes!), or usually contains things of little to no value.
Overall feeling is the same flavour of the previous bethesda titles: it's familiar and good, but it's also always the same. ...you may still feel like you're playing a 12 year old game - in 2023.

I am caught in the game at the moment and wish to play more of it. But I fear it may not have much replayability value once I leave it.

Game definitely worth buying.
Pros and Cons:
Very huge game with vast areas and possibilities among weapons, items, dungeons, lore.
Very nice graphics, environment, art compartment.
Definitely achieves conveying memorable areas and iconic characters, enemies, maintaining its typical storytelling formula.
Not a multiplayer user, so my opionions are related to the singleplayer experience.
No real downside or negatives to highlight, but If I can express something, I find the vastity of the world a bit overwhelming at times. Also the character Melina could be built (or rather used) better.

I don't recommend this DLC. Despite liking the main game a lot, this first expansion is just not balanced, and not fun to play.

It is made hard, by adding so many overpowered enemies that it becomes first exhausting and then frustrating, as the fights are not balanced, and the environmental hazards are just ridiculous. The greater and main contributor is the spirit, the new bs enemy that has the primary role of pissing you off, along with swarms of enemies that will literally have you stuck with their bodies.

The first of the three levels is good to be honest, hard but fun, though the other two are just bs. By the way it's pretty short and doesn't add very much, so if you are thinking of buying it full price you'll find it's overpriced. I hope at this point they'll do a better job for part two, but all the clues point to a more of the same bs. Also there is no hub, nor new weapons or items, just three new runes.

Let's have a word about the story (no spoilers ahead), since they tried to develop the lore in the main game (and they did quite well) in this DLC it almost has a primary role in the game, considering how short it is and how many cutscenes there are. It's kinda strange how the character of Samuel behaved in this game, and how they thought of ending the game, I think they went in the wrong direction.

Overall I don't recommend buying this, it's overpriced if bought alone, 2/3 of the game is not fun to play and the story is frankly quite disappointing (although I've never heard of anyone buying doom for the story). If it weren't so short I would have just left it behind unfinished without regrets

Why does the game want you to play stalth? It's detrimental to go all out. Many wrong things in the gameplay. Maps are mostly forgettable. Story is part good, part bad. Watch out: part bad prevails on part good and I mark the story as bad. There are good addictions that unfortunately get lost in the game as the gameplay, that should be the pillar supporting the whole game, is flawed. I definitely don't look forward to play this again. I finished it only because I could not refund it and so I could say my opinion on the entire game. Worth it maybe at 20$

At first glance this game was nothing special to me. Now that I've finished it I recommend it to everyone, absolutely love the game

Very well done. The night time environment, both sewers and city, is worthy of being played. I enjoyed this short experience and so should you. Cmon, it's free!

I had already played Necroviosion. I enjoyed that game mainly because it's set during the first world war, and you get to see wapons and characters (expecially germans) dressed in wwi uniforms and wwi stuff, which I like very much.
The other aspects of the game, oh well... it gets confusionary while in the battle, but it's still quite funny to play. The models' hands and faces are horrible beyond compare, but weapons are good. Mountains suck, buildings are better. Quite a strange design. The story is what it is... along with the main character. In Necroviosion Lost company I've seen all these aspects come back, except I've find graphics worst, battle at points more confusionary. You also get to fly a plane and use a tank, which is quite fun, as though they aren't programmed so well.

If you really want to see something from wwi and shoot a lot, buy it when it's on sale. Won't recommend it otherwise
