Having the same issue. Very heavy stuttering. Looks a lot like the low fps bug that happened a while ago with Deus Ex Human Revolution with GeForce beta drivers (Was fixed shortly after).

What's even weirder is that the game ran just fine the first time I ran it. Since then I've tried re-installing drivers and the game but it didn't make any difference :(

Try turning down the Physx. after a while the debris will pile up and mess everything up.

yeah Rogue, tried that. there's no solution anywhere about this problem.I dont get it...

im getting the same stuff. Amd 6100 6 core 3.30GHz, GTX 670. i tried turning physx to low, reinstalling game, downloading latest drivers, deleting game then restart computer then redownload AGAIN. and my fps still stays around 20 to mid 30's when walking around, when i start getting into fights goes into the single digits. They said this game was done months ago....what have they been doing? Obviously not done

turn vsync off. it's a temp fix, since you still get horrible screen tearing, but at least it fixes the horrible stutter

well what can we expect, there's no such thing as a perfect release anyway. it's just very frustrating that there isnt much info about this problem in particular.

tried that john, this stuttering is inevitable.

I created a video of what I'm talking about you'll see that it's not micro-stuttering caused by V-Sync or PhysX particle accumulation.

try going into your nvidia or control center and turn off super sample AA, override AA and high texture filter quality. These application enhancers usually make some particular games lag even though PC specs are high
johnpinky7 18 SEP 2012 a las 7:48
hmm i see. That's not a vsync or physx problem =(

i ended up trying to turn down a lot of things, ani filtering, vsync, physx, draw distance and it seemed to help...amd btw, not sure if it happens with nvidia as well? but yeah, it sucks because it locks up completely for a second or two.

glad to hear that it isn't just amd it looks like that has this problem, but the game itself.

also, for the tearing with vsync, you can set the framecap to 120, which is what i did..that way it almost never goes below 60 (my Hz), and thus no tearing.

I tried every option in the game to see if anything would increase / decrease stuttering or framerate but nothing makes any difference. I'd also like to point out that I get this stuttering right after the intro videos (auto-save warning and splash screen with a wall of text).

Mine is weird. It is 60fps (exactly) facing one direction, then 30fps (exactly) if I face another. Totally ridiculous, they need to fix this ♥♥♥♥. While I can cap it at 30, and smoothing makes it go from 30 to 60 less rapidly when I turn, nothing else has an effect. It's always 30 or 60 (this is in FRAPS), even when I set it to unlimited fps with no vsync o_O Should also note that I get 60fps constant on the title screen, which has quite a lot being drawn.

8GB DDR3
Win7 64-bit
1920x1200
PhysX on Low, everything else maxed.

It's lag. Like.. literally. I'm having the same issues. If I'm online/connected to Steam, the menu stutters as if it's having FPS lag. I tried several fixes, all to no avail. Then I got to wondering if it was ACTUAL lag... similar to Darksiders 2 when it tried to connect to THQs news servers. Lo' and Behold, when I'm offline, the stutter is completely gone. So try killing your internet, and seeing if that "fixes" it, before you go chasing after phantoms in settings/control panel.
johnpinky7 18 SEP 2012 a las 8:06
can anyone confirm that terminating the internet temporarily fixes the lag?
