What is the worst/cheapest unusual effect?

Don't go for the lowest effect possible. If you decide to upgrade later, it's going to be hell on earth selling it.

Instead, I'd look at saving maybe an extra 5 keys and getting a hat with TF logo, circling Heart, or Peace sign. Hell, even bubbling is a nicer effect. Invest the extra couple keys and get an effect that looks good.

The worst one is Massed Flies. I mean you can't even see the effect somethimes.

It's a great effect for that very reason though. If you're sneaking around, do you really want your head to be radiating fire?

Plus, it's ultra-themed with the Pyro's handymans handle and the snipers Blokes bucket hat & Swaggermans Swatter.

Don't. I don't know much about Unusuals, but what I do know, is that the ones that cost less than a bud, are awful. In my opinion, save up for a bud or two, then get a really nice looking Unusual.

Burning Flames is worst, it's literally the same particles as Pyro's flamethrower.

There are some really great underrated effects that are pretty cheap. He could get a nice bubbling hat, or perhaps a TF logo or peace sign for that many keys.

I don't even think there are unusuals worth less than a bud (2.7 ish keys), besides maybe that demo axe. 15 keys would be like 6-7 buds. But yeah, saving up for a higher tier effect is smart.

This was before buds dropped. Back then they were worth much more
