High Resolution Texture Pack Causing Dark Face Glitch?
Hopped back into FO4 today with the release of the High Res Texture Pack and found myself struggling with the infamous dark face glitch. I know it's caused by the addon because I didn't have any mods installed (which I triple checked after I first experienced this glitch) and when I uninstalled the pack it was back to normal. I also know it isn't due to my machine being too weak because I have used far more intensive graphics mods from the community with no problem (textures, shadows, et cetera), not to mention I run the game on ultra w/ ~100 FPS normally.

Is there a fix or am I going to have to rely on Bethesda to release a patch sometime in the forseeable future?

Nope. Clean as a whistle, so it can't be that.

Same thing (I guess) is happening to me post texture pack. All of my characters have this weird Brown face that is only on the front section. If I could post a screen shot from my game library to here, I can explain it better. Op, figured it out. I think

yep. happening on an important NPC here
Shaun was wearing blackface when I loaded up the HD Texture pack, nobody else. I've seen Shaun have this glitch before too, so I don't think it's really related to HD textures.

Any idea what it might be causing the issue? I remember sometime ago my pip boy had some issues with it being super dark to read. All I had to do was disable or switch a setting and it fixed it.

Another example with a super white blonde guy. Notice the neck and I even selected different face paint. Nothing shows up.

I had this when my mods were still in. I made sure plugins was completely off in nexus mod manager. When I restarted the game the faces were back to normal.

I have no mods installed via nexus mod manager or through the bethesda launcher at the moment.

Had the same issue after installing the Hi-Res pack. I'm running a modded game and I noticed the problem was only on females where I had replaced the vanilla face textures. Disabling the texture pack didn't fix the issue but uninstalling it DID.

I might DL it again later today and try reinstalling the face and body textures AFTER activating the texture pack. If anyone else tries this, please post your results here. I'm curious if the fix is just a simple reinstall of the face and body textures.

Have the same problem here. Only I'm not seeing how to switch the tex pack off . Anybody lend me a hand?
