If you're familiar with Time Management Games (TGMs) like Gardens Inc. or Hero of the Kingdom, you'll be treading a lot of familiar ground here. That being said, Hercules II: The Cretan Bull is a nice little time sink, but if you're not a fan of cutesy, casual, repetitious click-fest games, you'll most likely want to look elsewhere.

Endulge yourself into the second helping of the 12 Labours franchise 'The Cretan Bull'. This game offers just as much enjoyment as the first, nice and simple gameplay, easy enough achievements with a 100% completition time of 9-10 hours. The game will run perfectly on a laptop, a nice time killer when you have to spend time at the inlaws.

12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull is a cheap, entertaining casual game. If you have 5-10 minutes only you can always go for a level and finish it. Its not hard, not require special focus or following specific strategies, you will likely finish all levels easily just by playing it and having a common sense.

In the game you need progress through levels. The road usually blocked by obstacles and their removal required. Removing these obstacles usually costs you food, wood or other resources. To get these resources you need the help of your friends, whose collecting these items or building farms, mines or other buildings. As you progress in the game you will unlock other, mythological helpers whose will aid you in your journey by killing other mythological enemies like minotaurs.

This game has 22. While you will get almost all achievements just by finishg the game some require additonal tasks. Each level has a hidden puzzle piece what you need loot up and on one random level you need shoot down 10 birds what flying through the screen. There are one "harder" achievement in the game, which require to beat developer time on 10 different maps. Its not that bad as it sounds, there are quite few level where the developers time easily beatable. Levels replayable, so even if you miss out something, it could be easily acquired. Easy perfect game in 7-8hours max.

Did you like the previous instalment? Yes? Then, you will like this one, and many, many following games in the series. Is it marvelous? Is it miraculous? Nope, but with each new game in the series, there are small bits of additions, a new feature here and there, and a new villain randomly picked out of the narrative of ancient Greek hero Hercules. Ready? Here is the second part.

Taking a close look at the narrative, Hercules comes up with the brilliant idea of taking the Cretan Bull to plow fields in Thebes, but there is a slight problem into that plan: the beast belongs to Hera. Thus, righteously angered by the theft attempt, Hera becomes our villain for this part. No worries, since the whole series is a Disney-ified version of the Greek narrative, the hero will conquer without any actual threat - simply adding another cute, relaxing waste of time to our Steam library.

Well, this second part of our little time management game is a bit more improved compared to the first one, becoming just a little more challenging. This time, farm and workshop resources are not automatically collected, so you have to keep an eye on their timer. There are also thieves present to steal your resources if you do not supervise them in time. Some shrines have been added to the game to give your workers some bonuses, alongside a little HOG sequence consisting of puzzle pieces to collect in each level to unlock some bonus levels. Aside these little differences, it is the same game, with a different villain - which will be the issue for the remainder of the series.

The game uses the same mechanics as the first one, and basically contains the same automated actions. The same game, polished, added features and presented to us for more time to kill. Oh, and a similar set of achievements for you to collect while looking at the screen with a blank, yet pleasant expression.

I'll vote 'thumbs up' considering that it serves the genre, just as fine as the first installment and the lack of a 'meh' button. Oh, as I was writing the review for this second part, I've come with a challenge for myself: can I possibly write informative, fitting, yet not boring reviews for all the games in the series, considering they'll all be the same to an extent? Curious? I'll try. Bottomline, pick this one up for a day you'd prefer not to think, just as the previous one.

The sequel of 12 Labours of Hercules brings more levels, increased challenge, and additional game mechanics to this enjoyable time management game. Sadly, it still couldn’t afford to have some form of story.

12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull is the second instalment in a fairly successful line of time management games. Just like its predecessor, this one has no actual story or any real connection to the mythical jobs of Heracles, the title is just an excuse for the pleasant visual theme.

The core game mechanics are the same as before: you have a set of servants who are used to gather resources in order to remove road blocks to the next level. There are more instances where you need to call upon the help of Hercules himself or one of his mythological friends, but the bulk of the work still falls on the never-tiring servants.

Since a sequel needs some new gameplay elements, there are also a number of changes. Storage space is unlimited, but farms have to be harvested manually, before thieves steal the resources. You now start with at least two servants and most levels offer some form of achievable bonus to boost their efficiency; but you need to be a lot more careful and faster to clear the increased amount of obstacles to reach the bonus time limits.

The result is a sequel that is a little easier for casual players but a lot harder for those who want to get every award, which is probably the best outcome both sides could hope for.

Part 2. A new enemy (Hera and the Bull). Like Nr. 1 its a game for few hours 5-10 again but it has the same charme and dont feel like a cheap copy even if the changings are small. The puzzle option could use a bit better but its still a little evolution of part 1 with new stuff and its funny to try beat the incredible times of the developer to reach gold on highest difficulty. I enjoy it a bit more, the story is still small but lovely. The game gets 8.5 of 10.

12 Labours of Hercules II is an very easy, strategic path clearing, time managing, puzzle, clicker game that reminds me of games you normally play on your mobile.
I'ts simple, can be fun to play and become addictive to achieve an perfect score.
The levels take only a few minutes each to clear but are often easily completed.

I have played the first 12 Labours of Hercules game and because of that, this game got boring fast for me.
I sorta enjoyed playing the first game! But this game was way too similar.
Even with the slightly more variation between the levels, Better graphics, more mini games and extra bonus levels it still felt way too repetitive.
The levels were way too easy and there was no real challenge.

Honestly i think the game isn't that bad and i would have enjoyed it more if i hadn't played the first game before this.
And for that reason i will recommend this game.
i won't recommend it for a full price of 2,99.
But if you see this game on extreme sale sometime you should definitely give it a try since it's a great timekiller.

12 Labours of Hercules II is the obvious second in a series of time management games loosely based on the titular hero of ancient legend. While lacking any cohesive story, it is easy to forgive in light of excellent music, visuals, and gameplay. Casual gamers, this one's for you.

• This game has virtually no replayability outside of leaderboards. Many levels appear to only have one linear way to tackle the level in the fastest time, so replays would only be to try to work faster doing the same sequences.
  
• The developer scores can be incredibly difficult, and even more so if you don't know how scoring works. Considering there's an achievement tied to this, you might find yourself stuck. (see tips below)
  
• To be fair, if you're playing this game it isn't for story. But what story it has is made sillier by the limericks read in five short animated sequences. The wording is strange and sounds like something was lost in translation just to make it fit. This is a simple thing to fix, and would be a nice touch on an already perfect game.

Once again, your mission is to direct a cast of workers to gather resources and build, repair, toggle switches, etc. in pursuit of a level goal. It keeps itself fresh by adding mythological characters, special abilities, clicker minigames, and puzzles. This title isn't anything terribly different from the first game, but it succeeds in pushing the bar a little bit higher. Add the impressive audio and visuals, and you've got a simple recipe for success.

There really isn't much to say negative about this game, but if I were to improve on it, the expert difficulty needs to be more balanced, and the game could use a more detailed tutorial. On one hand, it's nice from the perspective of letting the player learn through discovery, but on the other, it can be frustrating to figure out how to beat the developer times, when certain details you may never find. Ultimately I gave up on challenging dev scores beyond the achievement, because some of my best efforts were thousands less than the posted times. I'm still not sure what I'm missing.

Achievement hunters: This is a relatively easy 100% aside from "beat 10 developer times." Here's the trick: First, the description is wrong. You only need 5. Second, you can get this easiest in the earliest game stages (since shorter and less complex design), and the "boss" stages, the 10th of each section. These are simple to complete quickly but will require you to click birds out of the sky to get the extra score needed to beat them. With a bit of practice, it should take under an hour to do. You may need to exit the game for the achievements to register.

A lovely point and click adventure, within a lovely series of many great games!

Depicting the classical Ancient Greek stories of Hercules and his 12 labours, we'll have to manage three resources (food, wood and gold) and we'll have to deal with a different map each time, filled with lots of things to click on.
Build temples, factories and farms, collect gold, resources, wood and food, free prisoners to let them work for you, defeat enemies through your own allies..
Deep into the Greek mythology, we have many games such as this one that have a great narrative compartment and most of all that can be enjoyed by all the family, since the game (there are three difficulty modes, changeable for every single level) is relaxing and easy to master - it's a point and click adventure, and you'll just have to send your servants to get resources and build structures, to send Hercules - the main hero - to do his main labours/tasks and to oversee the rest of what's happening (enemies, thieves, deities and such), with many small hidden things like the puzzle pieces.
A great adventure for the whole family, light-hearted and greatly-designed without bugs or lag of any sort.
It can also be played independently, like all the other episodes of the series, especially by kids :)

Fun little time management game that I picked up for 89% off or the tidy sum of $0.98! To be honest, I really wouldn't have picked it up at the full price of $8.99 since this is a very basic flash time waster from what I can see. I find the sale price tag to be just right, try not to buy this for more that $3 or you may regret it. :P

That being said:

As I mentioned, this is a very basic flash time management game with solid artwork. If you've played one you've played them all in my opinion. I'm sure that may sound bad, but it is actually a good thing to know what to expect when you're buying something. One of the things I really like is that it has achievments as well as trading cards!

As far as replay value goes, I'd give this about a medium rating in that regard. I don't think I'll beat it over and over but it has the 'dust off' potential that I mention in my other reviews: You beat the game, shelve it, then dust it off when you're bored months later. Not bad. Most of these just get a once through from me but I think I'll be trying this on the different dificulties once I beat the main story.
