The plan is to have both Mac OS and Linux versions when we launch the game. We currently don’t have specific plans for Workshop support. What workshop support do you think would be most beneficial to the game - creating player items, custom quests or whole new dungeons?

Recently I adopted the policy to only buy linux games.
So I'm also interested in GNU/Linux.

If for Workshop, please make it so players can extend the map and storyline. Just like Skyrim.

Looks like it may be earlier than release for Linux:

Ready and waiting to buy it the moment the Linux version lands. As I'm sure many others are.

Which engine is being used?
Any idea on when will it be out of early access?
I think it's going to be an insta buy.

The game is based on the same engine as Tropico 5. But additional platforms will be announced... additionally!

Having this one on Linux would be great !
But it would be even better with local co-op ! (Up to 4 players, like Diablo 3 on XBOX)

I normally don't buy early access but I think I'll bite on this one once the linux build is out.

Wallet got pulled out and ready to buy as soon as the Tux icon pops out. BTW great job on Tropico 5 as I played on my Linux machine.

Looking forward to it!

By the way, will it support the open source drivers like Tropico 5 did?

These are NOT the final and official system requirements. However, we are definitely going to support the Intel open source drivers. Otherwise, we would probably support only the proprietary NVIDIA and AMD drivers officially. Ubuntu and SteamOS would be the officially supported distributions, but you are going to be able to run it on a vast set of compatible distributions.
