Incapacitated Refugee
I just had a small quest, to save an incapacitataed refugee. I went there, killed all the pirates, Took whatever I needed. But I can't bring the refugee with me. I can't heal her because she has no legs, no peg leg option for her either. What am I supposed to do with her?

The new feature seem to have some cases not covered well

Use the debug menu to recruit them, then use carry and leave.

I have a different problem with this quest. Mine still has legs with just a scratch, but before I can get to her, she wakes up by herself after 2 min of entering the map and gets killed by the remaining turrets. Im very early in the game with only 2 rangers. cant get faster to her.

I just had this, I don't see any way to save them other than bringing a bed and setting up a makeshift hospital. They didn't wake up for me, just bled to death. I'm no expert in this game though so I could be missing something.

Okay I usually don't do this, but since I consider this a flaw/ bug in the quest design, I staged my own progress / reward for this quest, by using the dev commands in the end to resurrect and recruit the early dead refugee ... I think of it as if she just "played dead" to avoid the turrets. :steamfacepalm:

@Ichabod if someone is incapacitated and bleeding place a sleeping spot, turn it into a medical bed, then with a pawn that has some medicin skill rightclick on the wounded pawn and select rescue him/her. (if enemy capture him/her). he/she will be brought to the medical bed spot. Once there, rightclick again and the doctor will tend the wounds of the patient. In the health tab of that pawn you can also decide what kind of medicin to use. The better medicin quality and doc skill, the higher the chance for not getting infections and faster healing.

You're all lucky, my version spawned in a mountainous area and I can't even find my refugee.

I made a bed and healed the refugee and he just walked off the screen and disappeared anyway. This quest sucks ♥♥♥♥

yes it does, thats why i used the dev commands and recruited the pawn. Just to create my own reward for the quest, since it doesn't have one by design

I think the randomness of the tile that the refugee spawns in, is part of the unknown of the quest. Sometimes you'll get to them, sometimes you don't. Sometimes they die faster than you wanted, sometimes you can save them. Sometimes there is no enemy base, other times there is.

If it was all the same every time, such as you get a 2 day timer *after* you enter the map to save them before they die, that would actually be uninteresting.

If you want the pawn, you will have to imprison them. However, because you may not be able to make a prison before you need to heal the pawn, then the best thing I've tried, is while healing them on a makeshift bed, be making a prison also. When they get healed enough to walk and start walking off the map, capture them.

This is what I did the second time this happened. It's just a bit dissappointing that there is no real conclusion, any kind of reaction, reward or just a simple "thanks" from the refugee. It feels lackluster when he/she simple walks away like nothing happened and you wasted time and got yourself into risk for it.

I left the map and then came back with animals, so we could carry her back to our camp. She might join your camp or leave.

I figured it out. You need wood to make peg legs. Chop down some trees
