Having a blast here, can't wait for all the new features + mods... sure it's pricy, but you don't have to buy it straight away. Minecraft released with much much less if you are into comparing.

The future of NMS is bright!

Because its at this point an objectivly bad game.
If steams lifting their 2 hour refund policy theirs something terribly wrong with your game.

They are not lifting anything, it's EU law.
Minecraft was also released with an appropriate price tag for the amount of content that it gave and it was also an early access alpha. Instead of going that route, HG decided to charge AAA prices and call it a full release. So if you're going to use minecraft as your argument, make sure you acknowledge the huge difference between the two.

Won't bother with the maths angle, since that is pretty straight forward.

700k+ pre order sales will take a while to shake out of the reviews... and the game has only been patched for some crashing since launch (no change in content).

They haven't even updated the store page for launch (or discussed any issues besides platform crashes).

Their allowing people with more than 2 hours of game time to refund. Which is pretty unheard of unless somethings terribly wrong.
Don't think that has anything to do with EU law.

They've already done this before. The 2 hour mark is for automated refunds, you've always been able to open a ticket and request a refund if you've gone over the mark. They do it on a case by case basis, sometimes they'll issue refunds, sometimes they won't. But in a case where a game is universally panned and has some deceptive advertisements attached to it, it's safe to assume they'll be issuing a lot of refunds.

Plz tell me where it says 2 hours... that's just a general rule of thumb. I have refunded games longer than 2 hours play time.

That is to make the refund process simple..

14 days, Steam cannot by pass this.

Not true. MC had more content even in its indev days (pre alpha).

The comparison is ridiculous anyway. Like it or not, Minecraft is a game. NMS is nothing but a overpriced screensaver.

Outside that window of time your probably not going to get a refund though, unless something is terribly wrong with the game.
Point in case all those people in warhammer total war crying about how steam wouldnt refund after they found on sega was going to milk the game to death.

You don't even own it.... I see what's going on, people who don't own it say it sucks, while everyone else is busy playing, the usual!

Reminder that 80% of the people who own the game dont even play it anymore.

Software / CDs / DVDs dont count under the EU / UK trading laws.

I like the game but it was too expensive for what little content it currently has. I want to rebuy it when the price is lower.
