EDIT: I figured out my issue with Extreme Survival and its no longer a 'bug'.
Is it hoped that crash issues related to loading saved games might be fixed as a result of this upgrade or are those crashes related to something wholly independent of the saved game data?
Not very much but after a month of two with 10000 saves the save file is very large. ;-)
Please consider increasing Steam Cloud storage space. There are no-budget one-man indie games on Steam that have 1 GIG of storage, compared to NMS' tiny 20 megs.
20 megs isn't even large enough to accomodate a single set of save games + AppData cache folder contents + a Workshop base upload. I know this, because I ran into this problem yesterday, and couldn't upload my base until I force-wiped all the .dds files from my Steam Cloud. The side effect of that workaround is now all my discovery thumbnails are gone. :(
So PLEASE increase Cloud storage allowance!
No, you are prepared and careful.
I do a backup after each session and copy it to another disk and place it in a folder with date/time name.
