I never bothered to deeply look into it myself.

So did you change the mod for 16.3 or what??
I just replaced the files with the 16.2 version of the mod and it works just like it did in 16.2. The only difference is you'll have to manually update the code within those files. Like how they increased the skill point gain for challenges(quests) - you'll have to fix those once you put the mod files in, since those have the 16.2 version.
