Why use SteamVR on Oculus Rift?
The instructions here for using SteamVR with Oculus Rift end with "When using the Rift with SteamVR, use the Back button on an Xbox controller to bring up and dismiss the SteamVR Dashboard." Since I use the touch controllers and don't own an Xbox controller, that is rather difficult. Worse, once I worked around that, I found StreamVR to be a poor man's version of the Oculus virtual space. I bought NoLimits Roller Coaster Sim from Steam. It works fine when launched from the Oculus virtual space, but not under SteamVR. So why would I ever use StreamVR? I realize you guys are pushing the Vive, but there are thousands of Oculus Rift people out here who could be your customers if you supported their platform. We're all in this together.

I guess you are talking about SteamVR Home, which is in beta, and can be deactivated in the settings. Or do you have problems with the actual SteamVR overlay? The one that looks like Big Picture Mode. That is the interface that has existed since the launch, and which is more robust. SteamVR Home is still in flux and getting features and fixes right and left. Again you can completely ignore that if you feel like it's not useful to you.
