Calypso's Compass?

Does it point to a room somewhere else? Or does it point to a hidden door in the current room, the room where u got the compass? Can u see any indication on the mini-map to the exact location of where the bonus is? Please share, :)

Nothing on the minimap; can be anywhere in the complex. I picked up a Compass once in the Castle, and I was led out towards the forest.

Well i never checked the mini map , but i can tell you it is in another room , usually freaking FAR away.

I have never found where it points, but it points to a specific room. Possibly the "next" boss door or some treasure or who knows what. All I know is that it points to a room because I got it to point directly East and directly South in a previous playthrough. But I never found out where because ectomorph.

It points to a secret door, that leads to a room with two "special" chests, usually.

Okey. The calypso compass leads you to "hidden" place where you can't get without the compass. You have to follow the compass to certain place it can be in castle, tower, forest, or dungeon. when you have found the room where the compass directs you it will show you the exact location where you have to be standing, then you press up and then it teleports you to place with 2 chests that either gives you, money, stats upgrade, blueprints ^^.

Though, sometimes the secret door is inside one of those stone boxes that enemies are stuck in that you can't get into. I think it's a bit of overlooked programming.

The compass has led me to two rooms that I've already completly cleared out (one above the other) and when I'm in one it just points to the other. I can't seem to enter any door though, no matter where I stand.

The door is a hidden position in one of the rooms and as mentioned can be glitched if it spawns at an inaccessible spot. You need to be standing at the right position before you see the "up" arrow that indicates there is something there. In your case, it would seem that the hidden spot is glitched.

Thanks. I figured it was glitched, but it wasn't at an inaccessible spot of a room as much as in the floor or ceiling between the rooms. They should certainly take a look into this. = P

The times I got to the door, it was on the floor in the sense that I was just jumping around to platforms on different heights. I think its not supposed to spawn "in the air" where u need a jump to access it. Anyway, did u manage to get to one of these doors to the secret treasure room before? Have to be paying attentions cos we tend to move fast and walking away from the right spot just makes the "up" indication disappear.

I can confirm this. The compass is directing me to a Fairy Chest "kill all enemies" room (the one that requires scythes, or crow storm). Since I have no way to get across the gap, I cannot get to the secret room : /

There's a bit of a 'work-around' for this. The compass room location doesn't save like everything else does. So if you just return to the menu and go back in, the room will switch locations; the compass will point to the new one while all the enemies and stuff you've killed already will remain dead.

happend to me all it did was lead me to the farthest edge of the forest and kept pointing
