If you can get to it, and pick the lock on its safe, you can do whatever you want to the AI Core(s).

Though if security spots you, you'll have to deal with them. They're not just going to sit around and let you rummage through their safe after all. ;)

It's ONLY 4 Security Spiders!!! You can take em! (No he can't) Just run right up and punch one of them! After they do 50 to 80 damage to you, you are sure to have a chance to get hit again before you can even move and have a SLIGHT chance of death or tramatic limb damage.... Those spiders attack really fast..... But they have a run speed of just 11 so you can always crawl away faster than they run.

Security Spider Mk II on the other hand...... Wow, those little jerks are tough.

Ok, serious post this time.

Use a small group, go to the Lab.

Use one character who IS FASTER THAN THE SPIDER to get the attention of ONE of them. Have it chase you.

Lure it to your group.

Attack it from behind and the sides with the others. I advise using a light and fast weapon, because if you use a slow one (Like a Plank, Cross or Fragment Axe) you will be dead before that blow connects.

These things are legit tanks, so you might not do a lot of damage to it with Katana, but it gives you a better chance.

AS SOON AS THEY HIT IT. Run.

The spider can recover instantly and will attack very rapidly. (Their turn speed is unrealistic as crap and their attack rate is unbeliveable.) It will chase somebody. Hit it from the back again and RUN again. Eventually it will die.

Only 3 more to go! Oh yeah, DON'T get hit. You get hit, you're kinda boned. They can do pretty serious damage if they land even one hit on you, depending on who and what they hit, but leg hits are particularly cruel. They do CUT and BLUNT damage, and plenty of it. The best way to avoid an attack is to not be there when it arrives.

BTW, the Grinding Hiss Noise they make when attacking is pretty creepy sounding.

Well, I can kill the Spiders with 3 people doing that.

But you asked about AI cores, and that's how I do it. If you can lure the spiders away, or defeat them, there is nothing to stop you in the ruins, but bring 2 people if you do that so one can get in the chest while the other keeps the clankers away.
