I really hope so, you can just use Joy2Key if you need to. Game is hard and fast.

I hope so too. Playing a game like this needs a controller, otherwise lots of deaths will be because of the keyboard controls. Although, It's still pretty fun without one.

if it doesn't have controller support and it's a platformer it = pass.

While definitely not more intuitive, a keyboard is actually better than a gamepad, regarding speed, precision and number of buttons. Controlwise, a keyboard is superior to a controller, so to speak.

platformers need joypads, just like fighting games to. the genre demands it. A keyboard is only better depending on the type of game played.

What? Platformer definitely needs gamepad, and so racing games.

No controller support = no buy. At the very least they need to make sure x360ce works!

It does not, but just download joy2key. It's pretty easy to remap buttons. You can find already made profiles online for Joy2key: like The Binding of Isaac etc.. Takes just a few minutes to setup..

Hiya folks,

I'm one of the devs who worked on the game, and yes, while Joy2key is usuable, we will be adding native support for controller use in the next update. Unfortunately one of those things we simply ran out of time to include for launch, so sorry about that! Cheers all.

Great to read you're going to add it, i'll buy the game soon!
Do you already have some ETA on the update?

I'm enjoying the game so far with Joy2Key, but that's great to hear. Question: Will the controller support allow "up" and "jump" to be separate buttons? If not, please consider it. It works fine on a keyboard, but not so much on an analog stick.

Thanks, I guess I'll snag this later today when I get home, I'll use joy2key for now but glad to hear your working on native controller support, I like to use big screen mode and play a lot of my games on my new 52" TV

I find this statement to be laughably false. The keyboard was NEVER meant to be a gaming device and is a patently TERRIBLE one.

Yup, we're working on it right now, so the intention is to get it out this week, but in order to save any potential blushes, I'd say early next week at the very latest. You never know what other things may crop up...

Sweet - playing on a 52-er is the way to go with these things ;)
