New Update Available (5/27) [EDIT #3]
EDIT #3 (5/27/2013):
New update just went live which adds/fixes the following:

=====================================
Added:
- 2048x1152 and 2560x1080 resolution support

Fixed:
- ON/OFF toggle for the Mouse Acceleration setting was previously backwards. ON is now actually ON and OFF is OFF.
=====================================

***IMPORTANT NOTE***
Please recheck and test mouse acceleration settings after today's patch. (Hint: set acceleration to 'OFF').

The update applies to the full game and demo versions.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT #2 (5/24/2013):
A new update has been released today for the full game and the demo that further tweaks the mouse sensitivity issue.

The sweet spot many users have had success with so far is setting the acceleration to 'ON' and lowering sensitivity to 1~3 depending on your mouse DPI settings. Please give it a try. Hopefully you can now draw a circle with the aim reticle. Aim Assist ON/OFF is a preferential thing, so experiment with both settings and stick with the one that feels right for you. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

EDIT #1 (5/22/2013):
Hello fans,

We appreciate your feedback on the mini-beta test so far. There are few additions/fixes that have already been made to the build, so rather than holding things back for a bigger update, the team decided to release the first patch, right now.

The following update is available for both full game and the demo.
=================================================
Update/Additions:
- 2560x1440 and 1440x900 screen resolution added.
- Aim Assist ON/OFF toggle added.
- Mouse Acceleration ON/OFF toggle added.

Bug fix:
- 120Hz Refresh Rate setting not saving under certain circumstance.
=================================================

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi everyone,

Per announcement earlier today, the development team in Japan is now ready to roll out the beta build. Please give it a spin and post your experiences here, both good and/or bad.

Our main goal here is to collect feedback from the community in order to verify whether the new update addresses some of the problems you have experienced with the game.

How to access Beta:
1) From your LIBRARY list, right-click on Revelations Demo and select 'Properties'
2) Select the BETAS tab.
3) Type rerev in the 'Enter beta access code' field and then click CHECK CODE.
4) Now, select "pub_beta - public beta" from the pull-down menu and click CLOSE.
5) Launch Revelations Demo

Changes/Additions:
1) Following resolutions have been added:
- 2560x1440
- 1440x900

2) Following options have been added to the Mouse Options menu:
- Mouse acceleration: ON/OFF
- Aim Assist: ON/OFF

Important rules:
I'd like to keep this thread clean and focused specifically on the aforementioned changes/additions for the purpose of collecting feedback based on your experience with the beta.

Please note any off-topic rant or confrontational replies that derail the thread will be removed as it becomes very difficult to collate feedback. Thanks for your understanding.

Once we see enough thumbs up on the new changes (and not break anything else along the way! :-) ), the team will roll out the same fix into the full game.

We look forward to your feedback!

Glad to hear they're about ready to push this out. Unfortunately, I already uninstalled the demo and I have godawful download speeds. Still, I'm redownloading it now to check it out :)

I know it doesn't help us now, but could you ask the devs to make any future beta updates also available on the full game?

Just gave it a try. Unfortunately I can't tell that anything at all has been improved. I've disabled both mouse acceleration and aim assist and there is still a huge deadzone.

When you barely move your mouse to try to aim precisely, the reticle doesn't move at all. You have to more or less swipe your mouse to get the reticle to move.

The aiming is just not 1:1 like it should be. If they need an example to go by, use RE5's mouse aim. That's what it's supposed to feel like.

So how long until this is added to the full game?

I'd say use RE 6 as an example of perfect aiming.

Still not working. can not make smooth little movements with mouse and cannot give a large move even making a big mouse turn. Its just make it plays like RE5, ORC, RE6, Left 4 Dead 2, BF3, COD... tried all settings and mouse's dpi(2500max). it will plays good when i I will be able to make a 180 mouse turn while aiming and making very little moves. it summarizes like that: move the mouse a little, the aim make a big move, give it a big mouse move, the aim will not move so much.
2560x1440 working perfectly for me.

GTX 680 SLI - Core i7 920 - VISTA 64 - DELL U2711 monitor (native at 2560x1440).

Can't wait to see this in the main game. Until then, I'm not even going to start the thing. Anyhow, great to see timely support like this.

Mouse acceleration off = dead zone issue still exists.
Mouse acceleration on = aim is too sensitive and cannot move in precise motions.
i.e. crosshair jerks in different directions when I try to move in a straight line.

Sticky aiming option seems to be fine. The mouse acceleration still needs a little work. For general moving around, it's working fine. Large movements while aiming seem okay but small movements while aiming is very sluggish.
The aim assist disable option seems to work fine. Unfortunately, the aiming deadzone is just as bad as before and negative acceleration still exists even with the menu option disabled. The deadzone makes it impossible to make precise movements and the negative acceleration makes it so that moving the mouse fast actually slows the cursor to a stop in game. I'd like to suggest raw input as an option; that would fix everything.
yes when you move the mouse slowly its like it wont respond. when i turn acceleration on it moves better while moving the mouse slow but its then very sensitive to moving overall slow and fast. also the mouse feels so heavy when you aim around its crazy and annoying it should be very light and smooth like in counter strike or half life as example.

^Raw input, if possible, is the way to go. It also seems to me like you can only aim in 8 directions, which is kinda weird.

Fake analog?
It really seems like the options are backwards. Mouse Accleration, when set to on, is actually different than before. Better, but not perfect. Mouse Acceleration, when set to off, seems exactly the same as the retail version.

However, like I said, even when set to "on" (and again, the options are labeled backwards) it's a little weird. It seems like there's a deadzone or something. Movement is smooth when you keep moving, but as soon as you stop and then start moving the mouse in a direction again, it's very jerky and will move several "pixels" where the same amount of movement while continously moving will be smoother and won't move as far.

Also: FOV option, please.

More or less what I was thinking.

Disabling mouse acceleration definitely helped for me, but it wasn't perfect. There still seemed to be some aim assist when you target things too which was quite annoying.
Great news... but please, fix russian localization, it is terrible! :((

For those having reduced sensitivity or odd mouse behavior while in 'aim mode,' can you try switching back Mouse Acceleration to ON and see if that improves the behavior?

Anyone also tried the 1440x900 resolution in both windowed and full screen mode?

Meanwhile, good to see the aim assist ON/OFF feature appears to be working well.

Thanks for the continued feedback everyone.

EDIT: Also, it'd be helpful if you can clarify if the mouse issue is occuring during 'aim mode' when pressing and holding right-mouse button, during free camera mode (no mouse button), or both.
