Ys Origin
when does the price go back to 15 €?
without the discount the price right now is on 20€. But the game cost 15€

Will the price fall back after the summer sale? Or is there something new to the game?

From all accounts, it seems they did a stupid thing wherein they changed the price to be the same quantity of euros as quantity of US dollars. Why they did this, I don't know. Not sure whether it was Falcom (the developer/original publisher) who did this or the localizer (XSEED) who did this. I'm guessing it was Falcom, since games are way expensive in Japan.

The actual Steamworks backend changed to make this more complicated and that is why this happened. It will be corrected as soon as it can be, and was reported some time ago.

They just increased the price to 20$ a few days before the Summer Sale to apply a discount of 50%, and now they lower the price back to its former price. One word:swindle.

maybe, or maybe not...

and this is the problem, and that is why we can't say stuff like ; swindle!

Maybe it is a steam fault , maybe the dev is right. Maybe that is how steam handles the price value during a big sale! So many ways to think about it!

If the dev/publisher would be fair, he would give us the original price discount drop from the summer sale, when the price is back to normal!

Well, the sale lasted for about 2 weeks, and the devs didnt notice the price of their games suddenly went up 25% and took no actions to settle the things right? I don't believe that, this is a deceptive commercial manoeuver.
Plus it is illegal to do that.
ah,.. i see the price went back to 15€ .. will we see also an original discount as it should done in steam summer sale?

The actual Steamworks backend changed months ago and it allows you to enter prices yourself, there are even tutorial videos for it. So overall the whole process was made easier, not more complicated. And you could actually corrected it instantly as soon as it got reported, which we all know, is a lie, since this was an intented price raise to make more profit during sale. You had several chances to make users believe that is it coule be an error, on 29th june(this thread) or 13th june(my thread), you could've fixed it immediately and maybe would've prevented further damage, bad reputation or the chances you get kicked of from Steam.

Actual question:
Your games have decent ratings, are mostly positive commented, why not believe in your games and pull out illegal market strategies?

Little Hint, you forgot to readd 2 real to the bazilian price[steamdb.info] or is this your world cup special?!

Lol. I love the people throwing around the word "illegal". You should demand your money back from whatever horrible law school you went to.
