That... That was boring on a whole new level. Why did I finish it? I have no idea.

You know how in these kind of adventure games there are these annoying passageways that mask a loading screen that you have to crawl through? Imagine doing that. For 50 hours. Without stopping. Every minute. That is this game in it's entirety. The defining feature and what I will remember it for.

Imagine an "open" world, where 99% of its space is mmo-style loot (collect 999 of each of the 999 resources to upgrade a single item to max, out of 999 other items...) and enemies to grind and nothing interesting ever happening. That is this game's world.

Imagine every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character, except the protagonist, being an utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and not feeling absolutely anything throughout the entire game. That is this game's story.

It might be heartbreaking for the devs to read this, as I think they put lots of care into the game, but it was also heartbreaking to play this game from a studio who's games I so much liked over the years (even Remember Me), and just not finding fun or meaning. It just don't click. The production quality is stellar, VO is good, dialogues are OK, but it just doesn't click. I don't know if its the stupid grindy MMO elements, or the atrocious infuriating map, navigating which takes 90% of the game time, or just the fact that everyone including Antea, the woman we are supposed to care for in this game, is somehow just plain ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with no depth or nuance. I don't know why, but this game just felt... emtpy. Never made me feel anything. I played it like zombie, not knowing why i do it.

I feel like I wasted 50 hours of my life. And I don't even feel angry about it, just... disappointed.

Is Banishers: Ghost Of New Eden a good game? Well you fight 5 same enemys all game, navigating map is simple yet at same time not good, Combat is interesting and somewhat good, Main story is good, but at same time whatever, but Voice over extremely good.
So i would say all in all its a mediocore game. But where our Banishers: Ghost Of New Eden shine is haunting cases, where you solve why the ghosts haunt their friend, family member, and even in one rare case themself, and you try to find out what the victim that is getting hunted did, It was really well done and interesting to solve those haunting cases, and because of haunting cases, Banishers: Ghost Of New Eden went from mediocore game to a really great game. So if you like talking to a lot of people and solving ghost crimes, you should consider buying this game and become the Banisher that will banish or ascend ghosts of New Eden.

I tried so hard to enjoy this game but it really is quite boring.
