Your trace should actually hit the model itself. Then the active points will be drawn.

I turned up the active radius but still cant figure it out, I dont see the TA snap mode unless thats the first one? ive been trying to connect to 1 straights with a tight 90

Just snap them one to another with the TA snap mode. Does the tool draw the ghost? If it does not you have probably set your active radius too low. I;ve made this tool expecially for peaple not to ayeball stuff using the physgun ;) coater tails active points are usually located ot the eather end of the prop. Which two models are you trying to connect ?

is there a easy way to get coaster rails to connect on turns? i often find them not lining up and trying to line a tight 90 with the physgun is hell
