HOWEVER, you can use online steam workshop downloader if you need to. Like this one : {LINK REMOVED}https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/
It works nicely. While it isn't the perfect solution, it'll allow you to download steam workshop's files without having the game on steam.
On the flipside though, people in turn aren't exactly saints either.
Unless I've been misinformed there's a way to register your non-steam version that should let you grab mods from here.
So those "non-steam players" I keep hearing about are either ignorant of the fact (unless I'm the ignorant one and it's not in fact the case) or, how do I put it, have debts to settle with Tynan.
