So you can do the decision repeatedly and get no solution.
It can just randomly happen to your homeworld.
THIS IS A GAME ENDING EVENT EFFECTIVELY!

And on top of that it's an origin you can choose but if you were not preparing for it. It basically is a game over without warning as it can happen immediately upon game start apparently, or at least as soon as you have the failed wormhole event which could happen as early as 5 years in.

So why is this all random chance based? What the hell?
