Thank you!
So, I've never actually completed this game after half a dozen attempts with varying people in cooperative experiences... I always got burnt out by the time I got out of Cyseal on account of how easy the game was (even on tactician EE). For the first time, I am out of Cyseal, and I actually want to keep playing. Very strange.

Also, I've always wanted to play a mage who specialized in fire, but that was pretty terrible in vanilla... so thanks for that too.

Currently running a 3 man party...

My son is playing a soldier / scoundrel going dagger and shield - can sneak in and assassinate casters with ease (or wards like the one at the lighthouse), can soak up damage like a champ, and after receiving a beating has several get out of jail cards. Eventually we're gonna be playing with Centurion, fade and blur. It's going to be epic.

My lone wolf pyromancer who has been enjoying that Demon talent since level 4 - he also grabbed adaptive so he can proc 2 demons every round starting from the beginning. Going back and forth between maxing metamind for the -40% resistance or bard to take full advantage of lone wolf and adaptive... eventually 5 levels in air as well w/ 3 in shield, and some points into constitution. I'm hoping to do the whole thunderjump/ netherswap into the middle of a group thing w/ audacity, make things explode, die, be reborn, make things explode. I'll probably try it with a shield, and then try it with 3 in two handed weapons and reaper :P

Then there is Jahan - Water / Witchcraft (w/ a splash of earth) mage with overcharge. He is primarily a controller, debuffer and healer... he also has slows, weakness and curses in conjunction with the rogue's finishers which cause weak - an endless source of Demon reactions (which does a lot of freaking damage). I'm not sure about picking up Angel on this guy since the other two won't proc it outside of haste, but we'll see.

This is all great to hear--the experience that you describe is exactly what a developer hopes to provide!

Your party sounds like a blast to play--clever use of mechanics, including many of my personal favorites. Demon was a delight in testing, and we did tests where we turboed to it, like you, always with worthwhile results. The dagger tank concept is another of my personal favorites. I only got to play it once due to the sheer volume of things we needed to test, but it sits squarely in my top three favorite builds (my test was around level 20 and included Audacity and Cruelty.) I must say that I am also a big fan of the 3-character party, provides a strong start and a good balance between total action economy and build progression.

I really hope that you continue to enjoy the mod through to the point where you have a chance to try the new endgame content (which you can finish and then beat the base endgame as well, if you so choose.) I would be very curious to hear how this interesting party fares against the tougher fights!

Good luck with Artifact drops!
