Underwater Dino Taming/Shocking Dart
Hello, so the compound bow doesn't work under water. What do people like to use to knock out water dinos? Just a crossbow and normal tranqs?? Would it be possible to get some kind of dart or better arrow to fire underwater? I dont really feel like pumping a mosa full of normal tranq arrows...

Edit, so I forgot about passive taming... But would it be a good addition to make the shocking darts fire underwater? Would make them pretty handy

You could use the Extinction Tranq Spear, but if you prefer ranged then Extinction Tranq Arrows will be better than the vanilla tranq arrows. Watch your stamina if using the spear, mount your ride to gain stamina. If your ride cant tank the damage take some health vials for it.

Higher quality weapons will ofcourse be better.

I just tried it and the metal tranq arrows dont work under water for me :/

True... I guess i was hoping that the shocking dart would be able to fire under water. Seems like there is no use for them atm

Use the Extinction Tranq arrows not the Metal arrows, the tranq arrows fire in the crossbow.

I believe the extinction tranq arrows are the arrows that require just arrows and narcobarry instead of narcotic. Correct me if I'm wrong

I wasnt 100% sure so I have just checked.
Yes the arrows made with berries instead of narcotic are the Extinction Arrows.

What are extinction arrows? I've tested and the tranq arrows from the core workbench do not work underwater....

Maybe the vanilla arrorws have been removed and replaced with EC arrows. They are crafted in your crafting menu not a bench, and take stone arrows and narcoberries to craft.
Perhaps these are the ones you are already using, with a decent crossbow it shouldnt take many arrows to put a dino to sleep.
