What are the effects of the events?

There are two (that i have seen) events that can happen, the stars align and the stars are wrong. what do these cause? and are there other events i havent seen yet?

When sacrificing humans for spells their is a chance for things to go wrong. The stars align increase your chance of succes, while the stars of wrong does the opposite.
Their are a few other events, such as a group of dark young entering your map.
