AA Wireless Generator Fuel Consumption
Is it suppose to eat through fuel so absurdly fast? I put in 100 and it had used it all in like 2-3 hours. S+ Generator can last days with 100 O.o

I would love to know what the consumption rate of the AA Wireless Generator is, and if its configurable.

Has anyone figured out how to craft the generator im have the same issue as Mer?

I have been looking into this as well. The FuelConsumptionIntervalMultiplier=50 in the GameUserSettings file has no affect on the AA Wireless Generator. Over the last couple weeks I have tested various incremental settings from 1 to the current 50 and it has made no change to the time it take the genny to consume fuel.

@everyone The gas consumption is a very well known bug. Blitz is currently fully overhauling this mod so he's posted no more fixes to this mod will happen unless it's critical. A extremely simple solution is to transfer ALL the gas from the generator to your inventory then put it back. This will need to be done again upon a server restart. The other fix we have to it is pick up the generator put it back down and replace the gas. It's a little bit of a hassle but it does fix the issue. Not a big deal really.

this only work for some time then it goes back to eating 1 gas per second, i even demolished it and built a new one and still comes the time when it just start eating it 1 per second.

So I'f been removing and replacing the gas, to stop the over consumption of gas by the wireless generator for some time. And that's fine and not that much a pain in the pooper to do every time I log on or get back to base. Seeing that I only have 4 at my main base and 5 other at TPs, farming, water pen and other (cluster) locations.

But I am going to have too disagree with zedxgal, as I have gone and done some testing off my own over some weeks. So to test myself I have gone and placed a Wireless Generator on a raft and parked said raft right in the corner of the map with a bed, a box and 2k gas... turned it on and left it to run. Then fast travelling too and from it to check on it... at random times. hourly, in the mornings before going to work, and I have even left it for going for 4 days... My findings was that its seems to get triggered randomly, but mostly it has a higher chance the longer I stayed away that there was a higher chance for it to get triggered to consume the gas at the faster (x1 gas per sec) if I return the next day "around 6-18 hours later". I also do not believe that a server restarts will triggers the over consumption of gas, but that it is the player that renders the generator. As there will still be gas in the generator, 12 hour or even 4 days later, and only when I get back and check on it, only then starts using the gas faster... consuming gas at normal speed if no body was there to trigger it and only when I get back it starts, losing gas fast till I can stop it "remove and replace" the gas or turning it off and on gain.

This gets me worked up as its inconsistent and will not only speed up the gas usage when it get triggered. But any player that renders in the generator can trigger the high Consumption... even if you stock it fully maxed out it will just runs empty with in a weekend...

Here are 2 other points that really makes me grind my teeth about this problem:

1. On the friendly PVE server where I play on we share Teleporters... and as the teleporter will run from a wireless generator... uhm, "cheaply!!??" The problem comes when ever any of us use the other persons teleporter or simply just by moving through or close too an offline players base or generator, most of the time this will trigger the "over consumption" and very very soon runs it out of gas...

2. We also run the S+ mod, and with that comes the "hitching post" and "Hatchery" or AFK egg laying and collecting. but again... "school kids" that are up to no good. will empty the generator and come back every (insert time here) and just steal the now uncollected eggs... this has happened to me as I have found a players/base with 4 of my priced rex... "perfect copy of my breeding pairs stats and colors". FYI: Confirmed, as we aslo have the "SuperSpyClass mod" that shows the Stats of any dino when using that Spyglass...

ok, that is going to be it... just had to leave my findings. hoop it helps with understanding and maybe fault finding for fixing it.
