Great, thank you! Would you like to provide a list of 35 Portuguese passwords, too (5 characters each)?

Some thoughts about the password translation:

For the German translation I included some of the instruction words like "drück" (press) and "warte" (wait) and some 5 character homophones. The rest is filled with topically fitting words like "Bombe" (bomb), "Draht" (wire), "Angst" (fear), and so on. There are no attempts to produce misunderstandings in the vanilla module, so I leave it as your decision to translate it my way or to keep it like the vanilla module, with 35 "usual" words.

Yes, I'll be happy to! Do you also need translations for the manuals and missions?

I consider my Who’s On First list a Brazilian Portuguese list, as I’m not sure if conversational expressions in Portugal (European Portuguese) are the same. However, this Password list of mine works perfectly for both variants, so I’m calling it simply a Portuguese list.

Yes, if you like! But I don't make promises when I will add them, they might not be included in the initial release. Note that currently, the mission translations must not contain any non-English characters, that is no accents are allowed :(

...Speaking of accents: Is it a coincident that there are no accents in the password list or was that on purpose? The mod does support accented characters in the password module, if you like to include them (but not having them is not a problem).
Frango Robô Jan 11, 2017 @ 6:42pm
The lack of accents was on purpose, but I knew they could be used. I just thought they would make the module a little easier, similar to when you see an X or a Z in the first column in the vanilla module.

Which missions can have Who's On First showing up?

Yes, I am. It'd be better to send you by e-mail or something, right?

No, you can post the translation right here.
If you translate the missions, I recommend to translate all of them, not just the mission with Who's on First. (With my internation mod, there will be a passwords module, too, and further may come)
Most important: Remember, that no non-english characters are allowed in the mission texts :(
In German there is a typewriter-fallback for the umlauts (ä,ö,ü), which is to replace them with ae, oe and ue. Maybe there is something similar in Portugese. Or you manage to just use words which happen to not have any accents...

(I’d like to thank Tharagon and the KTaNE developers for this amazing linguistic exercise of translating text without using accents.)

Brazilian Portuguese mission translations

- “Parte” = “Section”.
- I only hit ‘enter’ once to save space, but in the game there is a blank line between two parts of a description.
- If “con’t” needs to be used, spell it like this, for example: Parte 5 (cont.)

Parte 1: Iniciando
1.3 A Primeira Bomba
Todo mundo tem que iniciar de algum lugar. Vamos torcer para que o fim seja em outro lugar.
Certifique-se de que seus especialistas tenham o manual e estejam prontos para ajudar.

Parte 2: Coisas Simples
2.1 Algo de Velho, Algo de Novo
Desde quando ver uma bomba familiar se tornou algo confortante?
Tanto faz. Esta bomba se classifica como semiconfortante.

2.2 O Dobro do Risco

3.2 Alguma Coisa Mudou
Acha que estes fios parecem diferentes? Acha que esta bomba parece explodida?

3.3 Um Salto Gigante
60% do tempo, esta bomba explode sempre.

3.4 Jogo Limpo
Chega de ser bonzinho. Lembre-se de tudo que aprendeu, porque qualquer coisa pode aparecer nesta bomba.

3.5 Agilize II
Lr ist apns gst + do seu crt tmp.

3.6 Sem Lugar para Erros
Um erro e acabou tudo. Seque o suor das palmas e fique frio.

3.7 Oito Minutos
Oito componentes, oito minutos. Temos tempo. Relaxe.
(Obs.: nunca relaxe ao desarmar uma bomba.)

Parte 4: Carentes
4.1 Um Novo Procedimento
Algo mudou nesta bomba. Seja atencioso com isso.

4.2 Atenciosamente
Fique de olho nela! E no tempo.

4.3 O Sintonizador
Os sintonizadores carentes precisam do maior cuidado.

4.4 Multitarefas
Ser um polvo ajudaria muito aqui.

Parte 5: Desafiador
5.1 Fios! Fios em Toda Parte!
Que desordem. Corte com cuidado.

5.2 Hackeando Computadores
Obs.: Liberar gases evita que a coisa exploda.

5.3 Seis Teclas
Ambiguidade + bombas = mistura perigosa.

5.4 Cruel
Todo o conhecimento para desarmar esta bomba lhe foi passado. Apenas execute.

5.5 Agilize III
SEM TEMPO!

5.6 Uma com Tudo
Um verdadeiro teste de trabalho em equipe que demanda habilidade geral.

Parte 6: Extremo
6.1 Agilize IV
Corra.

6.2 Malabarista
Tipo tentar estar em dois lugares ao mesmo tempo, mas trata-se de uma bomba.

6.3 Encrenca em Dobro
Algumas bombas deixam a equipe trabalhar no ritmo dela. Essas bombas diferem desta.

6.4 Eu Sou Barra-Pesada
Uma bomba para verdadeiros especialistas.

Parte 7: Estranho
7.1 Pisca-Pisca
As cores! Espero que curta tudo isso tanto quanto eu.

7.2 Teoria Aplicada
Na teoria, conhecimentos anteriores podem facilitar isto. Na teoria.

7.3 Labirintite
Desculpe-me por esse nome.
Foi meio tonto.

7.4 Corta!
Comunicando-se bem e tendo firmeza, vai dar tudo certo. Talvez.

7.5 Criptografia
Sem ajuda, sem chance.

7.6 Pisca-Pisca II
Por favor, fique parado e apenas observe maravilhado as luzes piscantes.

Manuals are ready as well. The modded "Who's On First?" module works exactly like the vanilla module, right? This means you simply have to replace the words in the manual?

Also, I made a change to the "Who's On First?" words on my first post.
I changed
DISPLAY -> TELA
to
DISPLAY -> VISOR

The words are in a sepate file, from which the mod reads in the word list and the manual generator i wrote does the same.

Hi there,
we’re approaching release! There is one little thing I would like to have translated. I added a small decal on the modules with a language ID and version number. I fear some people might forget they have to set the mod to their language first. Another problem (same as with all mods) is when I make a rule changing update in the future. Not a problem, if you play directly from the (updated) .pdf files, but a huge problem for people playing with printed manuals, as it is highly likely they won’t notice the update.

Long story short, could you translate this paragraph:

“Make sure there is a bar code decal on the module labeled ‘PT v1’, otherwise this is not the correct manual.”

(This[web.personal-webspace.de] is how it looks)
Frango Robô Jan 16, 2017 @ 7:04pm
Sure.

Confira se no módulo há um adesivo com um código de barras e a indicação "PT V1". Caso contrário, este não é o manual correto.

What about instructions on how to veto the vanilla module, as well as instructions for people not to play vanilla missions?
Tharagon  [developer] Jan 17, 2017 @ 11:18am
Thanks!

In any case I'll write these instructions in the mod's description in Steam (in English). Steam offers wonderful methods to show the mod's description in other languages, if the user has set his client to a different language, so I could imaging we translate the whole mod description, once its life and has stopped changing (I tend to edit a lot in the first week).

I don't think the defuse manual would be an appropriate place for that. What do you thing?
