Feedback: Germany playthrough
During the holidays is was able to "finish" my Germany campaign (veteran difficulty), here is my feedback:
- Germany is able to snow ball really fast (764 factories in autumn 1941, which is almost double the amount of the USA).
- I had no resource issues at all (self sufficient supply of oil and rubber before 1940).
- I would have been able to invade the british isles before attacking the soviets, because the brits were producing basicly nothing (no convoys and their fleet was sunk in the Mediterranean by the Italian navy and my naval bombers).
- The AI did not even try to hunt down my u-boats in the Atlantic (did not even lose a single u-boat^^). It seems the AI does completely ignore the four regions in the middle of the Atlantic for the whole game.
- The Allies did not attempt a single naval invasion (my Atlantic garrison was useless).
- The fleet of the USA seems to be completely passive (i haven't seen a single US ship in Europe)
- The soviets did put up a good fight, but i did not expected them to capitulate so early. The front line was going from archangelsk to Rostov (i was not even near Stalingrad or the Ural mountains).
- After the soviet capitulation in august 1942, i was hoping to continue the game, but it is basicly won. The common wealth is crippled beyond hope and the USA is not even remotely a challenge (only 477 factories, 129 divisions and less ships than japan).
- Same is true for japan, which becomes unbeatable when played by the player after the capitulation of china.
- Playing on elite difficulty would not have made a huge difference in my opinion.

In short:
The axis and especially japan are to strong in my opinion.
Even the Italian AI was doing fine in Greece and Africa with almost no help from my side.

My suggestions:
Germany needs a hard debuff after the soviet capitulation (like japan after defeating china), also the war damage in the soviet union should be devastating (destroyed factories, resources which can only be restored by costly decisions for example).
The economic foci of Germany needs be looked at, some of them are to strong and mandatory in my opinion. Which makes a lot of other foci useless, because the benefit of doing them, is to small in comparison (eg. bomber and naval bomber foci).
The allies (when played by the AI) and the AI in general needs some good buffs which leads to them having more factories, ships and divisions.

Some of my points may sound like nitpicking, but i hope it helps to further improve the already great mod. All i was hoping for, is more challenge.

I also found some bugs, which i will writeup later.

And I would like to know what buildings you were constructing in the prewar period, MIC or CIC?

- The event for replacing todt with speer does not work, because todt is only available till 8. Feb 1941, but the event fires a few days later.
- The focus "Reorganize our Industry" and "War Rationing" requires a global flag (speer_in_office). Which is nowhere set (did not find set_global_flag = speer_in_office in the script files). Was using concentrated industry.
- José Antonio Primo de Rivera is the leader of spain, not franco?

I did not build a single military factory or dockyard until October 1939, only civilian factories and oil/rubber plants.
I did only build factories in provinces with max infrastructure. If my calculations are correct this decreases the total construction cost greatly (with the infrastructure construction speed techs).
Germany has enough mil factories at the start of the game and gains a lot of them with the foci, also the factories from Austria and Czechoslovakia are a huge boost.

Is also used Frick as advisor (-3% consumer) for the whole time. After attack on poland "Mobilize the Reich" -2%, half a year after the fall of france, "Swiss Banks" -2%. The soviet trade treaty provided an other -2% till barbarosa.
It is possible to reach 0% consumer good factories later in the war.

I have some feedback. I hope it's ok I post it here.
First, the "Heeresdienststelle" units sounds a bit too much like depots etc. Why not name them Grenzschutz-Regiment or Sicherungs-Regiment instead? (or Sicherungs-Rgt. and/or Grenzschutz-Rgt.) Those names are more historically correct for field units and more in the line of "we can have a war at any time soon" situation.. (Which was the situation Herr Hitler feared from time to time before the outbreak of WW2). Also the "Grenzwach-art" units were positioned in ports (Kiel, Wilhelshaven) and there are no borders there (Grenz), so why not name them Küsten-Artillerie-Rgt. 501 etc..? At least more historically correct in my opinion.

The Japanese Nakajima Kikka should have a carrier version, (or two versions), and same goes for the German Me 262 versions in the game. The Japanese Navy were building a version of the Kikka with foldable wings. This would be equally simple to do for the Germans and their Me 262.

sorry may be the wrong place, but von leeb and von bock were army group leader in 1939, they shlould be fieldmarshalls like rundstedt. We cannot promote them prewar as the command points are capped to 20 pre war...
