As far as I've been able to tell (been searching for about 20 minutes) perfect world does not work in multiplayer due to a bug with a random number generator. Most mod maps can be copied and pasted into the Assets\maps folder and used without going thru the Mods selection in main menu. Sad that the only one I truly want for multiplayer (and everything else) doesn't work in multiplayer. :(

perhaps if this random number generator were to be disabled and instead chosen manually (much like seeds in Minecraft) it would then be allowed in multiplayer....any coder's that could take a look?

Seeds are ONLY used in the context of random number generators, so that sentence doesn't really make much sense. You can't use a random number generator without already supplying a seed.

the random number generator was for generating the seed. When things don't make sense it usually means you didn't read it correctly. What i was talking about is how they did the map seeds in Civ 6. You can actually SEE the seed thats RANDOMLY created or replace it MANUALLY with your own. Also map generators are not random, they are defined calculations giving mixed results based on the seed chosen. If you knew that, you would know i wasn't talking about the map generator, just the SEED generator.

Big fail comment Zeaga, but i'll give you a C- because you demonstrated a slight ability to read.

Seriously? Big fail comment? Your reply was totally respectful and well thought-out until those last two sentences. You'd come off a lot more intelligent and put-together if you didn't blindly insult people like some sort of middle schooler.

What you said was if the *random number generator* was disabled. You never said anything about disabling random seed assignment. If you had just corrected yourself it would have been fine; it's a perfectly reasonable thing to mix up when typing. However, that's not what you chose to do about it and it's pretty disappointing.

Also, just now realized this thread is from October 2017 and not October 2018 like I thought when I replied the first time. D'oh

even if you couldn't understand my first comment, the extended part in the parenthesis should have clued you in. My example was minecraft, where you CHOOSE A SEED. It is not RANDOMLY created for you. Go bang your wrecking ball of a head against a wall until it cracks open, saving all of us the trouble of teaching you how to understand plain english.
