Do you think that you may add an Enclave faction later on, and have some Fallout 3 factions? Or are you going to be sticking with the early fallouts and new vegas?
Zapdude  [developer] Dec 16, 2016 @ 6:57am
Right now we're looking at a starting date of 2267-68, with FO3's events happening earlier than usual, to keep the east and west coast fairly on par. While we might have Enclave remnants up in Illinois, due to their presence in Chicago before the BoS; but large Enclave factions aren't likely. We are also debating Raven Rock.

We want to have the Enclave as an "emergent faction", the kind of thing that you invite into your home. Think of how fascist ministers slowly corrupt your government. The Enclave will be working in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to sieze control.

That sounds amazing, can't wait to see how it pans out later on down the line! (Also, For the Enclave!)

IK you said maybe to the Enclave and maybe putting them in Illonois but they control most the midwest!! (My home) And would be a great addition to the game. IDK if this is only my opinion but to me it the mod doesnt have to be completly linear just a full US of the Fallout Factions!

The Enclave does not control the midwest. They were expanding from Illonois, but the Midwestern Brotherhood beat them to it, so they pulled out. As I said to the last question, currently we're looking at having the Enclave as the puppermaster who overthrows weakened nations; however we're playing with the idea of the East Enclave being at Adam's Airforce Base

Sounds cool! Would also love to see a 2077 battle of anchorage or similar pre-war setting. Just something I thought of, the mod is great!

Thanks for your support! Right now we're not looking at any other start dates, but we might consider some once the base game is done.

How's the work coming? Very interested and subscribed!
Zapdude  [developer] Jan 19, 2017 @ 8:09pm
Thanks for asking Maximus. Right now our head programmer has unfortunately suffered a catostrophic PC failure, involving a screw bridging a connection between some components, and thus his progress on the mod tools I use for the map has been halted. This is an issue, as we're hoping to turn our 1.4K provinces into around 7k - and without the new version these would all be diagonal. Another issue on my end is that the database tool in nudge crashes whenever the mod is loaded, preventing me from creating animations, building location data, etc for the map.

However the rest of the team are still diligently at work on their side of things, it's just myself who unforuntately has very little to do. Thankfully I finished supply regions a while back, so soon I will be looking into including nations for aesthetic reasons; and pushing farther updates on my progress.

Hi! I just read the dev diary and i'm happy to see progress, When is the update planned for release?
Zapdude  [developer] Jan 28, 2017 @ 3:40am
The short answer is: when it's ready. The long answer is that since we're not funded to make the mod, we can't spend 24/7 working on it. There's a lot to do! However don't mistake that for a lack of passion, I love our work, and was very excited to see the newest dev diary pop up. It's a lot of work to get 66 countries (not to mention emergent ones) playing nice together, espescially with so many focus trees to make. For example, it was about 2533 lines of code just to get names and starting equipment correct; not to mention starting techs, etc etc.

Don't worry though my dude. Progress is being made and an update will come. Once we're closer to a stable version, we might have a release date ready for you. Thanks for supporting us!

Hey will we be able to invade the wasteland? Or is the wasteland always going to just be empty?
Zapdude  [developer] Jan 29, 2017 @ 2:05pm
Currently we'll have one area of wasteland in version 1.0, with it being important to the Washington Brotherhood's focus tree. A large majority of our Fallout era America is going to be populated by small countries, either raiders, settlers, or tribals. Some big factions too, fanon and based off of canon sources. However large areas of desert and the frozen area near canada will be wasteland.

So will we be able to take those wastelands? Or are they just going to be empty forever?

Wastelands can be taken over, yes. However they have the least resources and building slots of any sort of tile.
