A small Codex-MOD feedback
This mod does a lot incredibly right. The main thing which I have been missing from Mods not only from Beyond Earth, but from all Civ Titles since and including Civ 5:
It does a lot more, than just adjusting one or a few little aspects of the game.
This is not only a balancing patch or the introduction of another faction or another unit or biome, it's a change on a grand scale not too far from a total conversion and it's this kind of mods that I really miss in Civ games since they were officially designed to be easily moddable. Maybe that's due to the fact, when it takes some more effort to mod a game, people want to do some more than minor tweaks, not sure.
This mod breathes new life into this game, that you'd normally shleve because you've seen it all.
As a nice bonus, there's a lot of tweaks and options you can set in the advanced game setup.
Thanks for rejuvinating CIV-BE

Weird you say that you miss this in civ games, considering that there are multiple large mods of this style for other civ games.

Vox Populi for Civ5
We The People for Civ4Col (or its predecessors, Religions & Revolutions and The Authentic Colonization)
And waaaay too many mods to even list for Civ4

Every civ game so far has had amazing work done by the community, often being carried for years after the official support ended (Civ4 and Civ4Col mods are still being updated to this day).

Codex is definitely among those names, fantastic work.

I didn't talk about Civ4. Civ4 (And Civ4Colonization to a lesser degree as well) is filled to the brink with great big mods. It's also the last Civ that didn't have built in Mod support. And that's what I meant. Once that built in Mod support is in, you tend to get lots of small mods. Sure there's a few exceptions, but as you said, compare it to civ 4, where most of the mods where huge - just look at Fall from Heaven 2. It had modmods. I think even modmodmods. That was crazy, but in a very good way :D

I've been into Sid Meier's since Civ 3...love the idea and the gameplay is addictive. I was super excited for Beyond Earth because you finally get away from the same old story of history and technologies. I would like to see more like this. That said, it never occured to me to even look for mods until it popped up on the main menu. Codex is awesome... I agree that it breathes new life into BE. I also have Civ 5. What are some good overhaul mods for it?
