All NPC's Disappeared From The World...
Logging on yesterday, I noticed that all NPC's from the world were gone except for my own troops and the base garrisons. All NATO forces at bases, all civilians, all gendarme, and all vendors/syndicate leaders are gone. No amount of re-loading seems to fix it. Unfortunately, I had already made a save before noticing this had happened.

I have been keeping regular backups of the save string, but I have never been able to get a game to load from a string. It keeps my gear, but puts me on the tiny island in the north and all bases and towns are reverted to NATO control.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, or is my campaign just gone? I had over half the world taken over, so it's very disappointing.

In case anyone else experiences this issue, I was able to find a workaround, even if it was messy. I reverted my install of Overthrow to the previous release (https://github.com/stana32/Overthrow-Remastered/archive/v0.7.7.3.zip), then re-launched the game. When I loaded my save, the NPC's had returned, but the game would crash randomly. But after making a new save while running the old version and re-loading, the game was stable. However, all of the buildings I had placed were now hovering 500 feet in the air and had to be deleted, and all items in the warehouse were gone. And all players on my server had lost all money, items, and influence. But it's still better than having to start from scratch. Afterwards, I re-installed the latest version of Overthrow without issues, and it has been working since.
