Snap Point issues
I'm finding that some structures don't want to snap in correctly.
For example, the keep railing for stairs. If looking up the stairs, the left side will snap in perfect every time but refuses to snap in on the right side with the correct direction.

I've also found this with any diagnal foundations, ceilings, walls, etc...
I can get some to work but usually have to be in a very specific position to get it to snap in correctly.

I had this same frustration with stair railings for the longest time, until I realized that the railing doesn't actually snap to the stairs. It snaps to the wall or ceiling that the stairs are supported by.

Not sure if this is what your experiencing, but made it a lot less frustrating for me once I figured that out.
