Build the windmill or waterwheel first then build the axles down to where you want the millstone, and then place the millstone. :)

The millstone however doesn't work at all. I connected the driveshafts snapped from the waterwheel up onto land. It has no snap points. Tried moving it inside, no snap points. After moving the driveshafts all over the place, I got it to snap to the driveshaft, with ground under it. However, then it said it needs a foundation under it. I put Keep Foundations under it (with no walls or roof) and once again "no snap points."
Finally, why does the waterwheel not create power? The description is very misleading claiming that it "provides power to powered items." In real life a water wheel creates energy.
Anyway, I love the look of the waterwheel, it's just sadly, the wheel and the millstone are totally useless.
Please fix!
Waterwheel placement
Yeah, as my screenshot shows, and I mentioned, I tried placing it in the water. I even ran walls down, from my base, wondering if it needed to attach to a wall. In every case, it just shows up with "No Snap Points." It's aggravating because this is the only mod I use that has an enhanced mortar and I need to make narcotics faster.
It seems like it'd be a lot more helpful if we could place the millstone, and then connect the driveshafts to it, leading, eventually to the waterwheel placement or windmill placement.
You need to set up foundations, build a wall and use the Waterwheel attachment wall piece, which the wheel will then snap to. It must be low enough that the wheel sits in the water.
As for the windmill. I haven't wasted resources to make one because I figured it wouldn't work outside of Scorched Earth. (Other maps don't have wind) Is this one different?
