Report a translation problem
1.The little power suits kinda look like iron man -> thinking from the glitch side. Why not have addons like iron man. By that I mean, the suit opens and the glitch hops in -> bigger glitch. Then the power suit hops in a Theta size mech -> hulkbuster. Fist/melee based, and can punch (heh) with impact and break the ground/tiles.
2. With ^. It would be kinda fun (I think) to have a mech you can build in pieces akin to a power rangers mech. (and with the new blog part about buildable parts) You can ride the mech's by themselves (say a tiger, one of those spinning onions..whatever monster/animal you decide), then when you have them all (or with other players..could have 2 versions) and have a multi person/multi mech->mech. Combine (if you have 5..7..whatever) controllers and voila.
Could also be one for each race, like avian being a tech monkey, novakid being a train or a horse, Human being a lone wolf (To be different) Floran a venus flytrap, or a planticized (own word hehe) animal..OOH or the plant fluffalo..and have each piece be interchangable, arm, leg, or head.
3. MOVING BASES!, (Chrome shelled regios gave me the idea), now with the walking mech legs, picture a bottom half of one, that can be wired together (so they walk in unison, maybe have an anchoring point as legs placed in the background like a back wall..altho that may interfere with a lot. Have it disappear if it bumps into a tile, but in open backgrounds it shows?) anyway, have the mech legs be able to be built upon, linked..and walkable. So you can have a base, that walks around the planet. Might be fun, a defensive option + it could give online a new depth of when trying to hop on it..also, could have it so that when you warp in. You don't warp on the base. You warp to the squares where the flag/teleporter was. So you can get in, and see your base walking away. If this worked, we could have mobile assault bases, fortress wars..and maybe a captain seat with a lever for go - auto walk, and stop. Moving mechs are fun...but I'd love to be able to walk my base around :D. An option or a costly one could be a homing device, so it walks along with you, and where you're centered (say you die) the base acts like a flag, and you can follow the homing device straight downwards to where your corpse was.
4. Taking a spot from armored core (Which I loved), a few weapons- a.One I loved to see..in all the tech...guy grabs a pillar of concrete and wedges a jet into it..rocket club. (If my hulkbuster fist mech idea comes into play) maybe have an item/move/variation, where you can right click, and it grabs a chunk of tiles (doesn't work on sand/anything that works in the powder sifter, slime, or other obvious ones) and you can use that for a few hits as a weapon. Won't work in dungeons/tile protection. b. They were called bits I belive (in virtual on, bal bas bow) Floating attackers like servitors, have floating autonomous bot options that attack on their own (think of the good ole diablo 2 necro skelly run days). 2-4 max..some for attack, some for mining, one that follows the crystal skull mechanics (Frackin) to point you to your last body)?
I saw the theta...and speaking of armored core, I want to build an armored core style mech, with the karasawa (rifle) and moonlight laser blade...and an all purpose barrage mech. Which leads me to the next bit...
5. Altho it's fun walking around in the big mechs, they leave a bit to be desired in aiming down/little monster destroying capabilities. So for that, an add on you can add to your mech (or an epp augment) that when turned on, acts like a bug zapper. Hits them for a little damage, and knocks them backwards (electrify your mech) for a bit of damage, and make them able to be hit. Granted the rho can grab them with the gravity gun/tractor beam thing. Still..i'd like a little more versatility (and the ability to fire downwards, and really clear a path rather then walk 2 steps, clear a bit..walk 2 more...ruins the fun).
6. Speaking of necro (and thinking of xmen) what about a mech, possibly titan or tau sized..at least theta sized that instead of fighting, you can spawn mini mechs/power suit minions, that float around for a few seconds attacking. Left click could be melee, right could be a flamethrower/rocket type. Special -> detonate them. I can't remember the name but I'm thinking of..MASTER MOLD! that's it. The sentinel creator.
7. Not necessarily a mech, but - There are launch pads, I haven't tried it yet..assuming they don't work (and while I'm here) I wanted to add in. What about a launch pad/catapult? So you can send your mech flying out of your base to go jetting around? Thinking anime/gundam style when I thought of this.
8. Along with the combo railgun/super railgun.. I'd like to see other combo weapons. Or improvised ones. Like say, being able to interact with a wheeled cart from a glitch town, and use it like a bat to wack things. Pull up a fence and crack it like a whip. (breaks after 20 seconds..30 seconds..something like that and goes to your inventory).
9. Altho I'm not one for multiplayer. I've seen a few jets (and the mechanics work quite well), so, what about a carrier for mechs? that you can tether the mech to and drop it off. Sure..you can just use the controller and spawn it..but having a big guy drop in out of the air (2-4 grappling hooks, each clip off, then boom, your mech falls as if dropped from the air..something like that?).
10. A Combine harvester - There's a mining mech, why not a farming one? One hand be a rake/claw (thinking sigma style) with a nozzle or two, the other hand being a hole/missing hand/to suck up the crops. And either go on a trailer type (can be upgraded for storage) or a backpack (for the animation..but goes to your inventory). There's enough farming mods and this is purely for collection/ I want a mech for eeeeeverything-ness.
I'm sorry if these have already been suggested, but 33 pages is a bit much to look through...either way looks amazing and look forward to the updates (only one I'm really hoping for is moving bases/mech legs to build on ^.^...if it's doable). I love the leg mechanics. Thanks for all the work.
As for mobile bases, I've given this some thought before and its something I definitely want to try at some point. I know for a fact I can give mechs a "platform" so you can stand on them, and I can also add multiple seats to mechs (for turrets, maybe?).
There IS a minion mech in progress, but I'm not quite sure how to nail his design just yet. The idea is that he'll deploy little drones that shoot things, then ram a target (or explode if theres no target) after a short amount of time.
For a farming mech, I'm not too sure but definitely not a priority mech right now.

Visual wise:

It should look more sturdier\bulkier than it's original cousins aswell as more intimidating and heavily armored.
Pirate\Military high tech themed.
Default color wise it should be more or less themed around pirates(gray, red, brown, sandy brown, black, red, green and inbetween)
It should basicly be a union of Theta mech and Tau mech.
Since it's more or less heavy armor and piracy themed. it should have melee weapon, preferably shaped like a cutlass (giant one and energy based) in each hand.
It should be a dual wielding melee mech in normal mode.
Siege railgun should be twice\thrice the size of Theta's original, stationed at top-back of chassis.Hence the rotary barrel-like design for the weapon's base.
Cockpit should be very remniscent of Kraken.
Suggested energy color is green.
It should be pretty damn big, probably twice the size of Tau mech or even thrice.

Now the railgun itself, how about a rotary barrel-like burst fire mode weapon?
It should only work in siege mode, with one of the barrels transforming into shield, while the others move up on to the sides of chassis and station themselves atop pauldrons, dividing into two additional but smaller caliber cannons.
It should work like artillery weapon while in siege mode with rapid burst fire, very similar to this:

Abilities:

Since it's more or less a tank\artillery oriented mech i would suggest some ground based abilities.
Ground stomp\scorch i think this one is very self explanatory, it should be an AOE jump charge based ability.
Bull charge with rapid slash attacks.(look original Theta mech ability idea, minus shield thing)
Homing barrage, except it should allow you to choose targets. (look original Theta mech ability)
Overall ability\weapons theme: slow as a turtle but strikes fast and deadly like a snake.
