Not sure if your mod - Derelict Ship - an old prototype of yours found. No pop-up when it completes. A blank 'ship' object still there, can't close it's info box. The planet still got the +3 energy 'reward' but game unplayable because of the buggy info box.

Hmm at first I thought it could be our "demon ship" event. But none of its multiple endings has a +3 energy reward on the planet. Though this might be the normal modifier of the planet becoming visible after the anomaly was cleared.

We will look into it.

Could you tell me, which game version you are using? Is ist 1.2.1? Also which language are you using?

Did you use the old version of our mod before? And if so, have you unsubscribed from that mod?

What other mods do you use?

We just tested our event, which turned out to work fine in any possible branch. So it may be a mod conflict or something else.

Yeah I seem to remember it as a base game anomoly, though never seen the game bug out like this. New game, 1.2.1 - will start again later and see if it was just a weird glitch.

Please let me know if this problem is reproduceable. To test if it was the demonship anomaly, take a look in the Events description post in the discussions. There is also the command line to manually spawn that anomaly in your game.

I installed this new mod with another mod and my game started to lag. The framerate skipped every three seconds or so, i checked with my other mods and this is the one that is causing it. I don't know if its just my game, or if its conflicting with the other mods i have, but i thought i should let you know after i tried to fix it. It didn't work.

Mod seems to be incompatibe with the beta patch 1.2.2, deactivated all other mods and after pressing play in the launcher, the launcher closes but game does not start.

Same problem here with the latest stable version. Haven't subscribed for beta. Looking forward to play with your mod!

OK I just downloaded the latest Beta (which is 1.2.2). Of course our mod is stated as outdated (thats because the version number is stated as 1.2.1, so no problem there. My game loaded without problems, no CTD. I started a game, playing with fastest speed and had no stuttering. I use many mods as well and got no issues.

If anything does not work for you, please be more precise in your explanations so we are able to reproduce your issues on our end and find the cause. Do you use other mods?

Is it possible you have still subscribed our old mod? If so, make sure you have unsubscribed it and deleted all related files if steam fails to do so automatically. We got some issues because of using the same mod name. (This is also the reason we will take down mourns upload sooner than initially planned, so as soon as we reach him) Please also read the the first part of our mod description and follow that steps to make sure our old and new mod do not conlict. There can only be one.

Edit2: German Language seems to be the issue, setting the launcher to english the game starts.





As stated in my previous post, I deactivated all other mods to see if one of them was the cause, same result launcher starts fine but when clicking play, launcher closes but game does not start (no crash or anything just the game not starting)
exeption log shows this:

(numbers stay the same everytime i try to start the game.
error/debug log shows nothing

I play the beta patch 1.2.2 (in launcher it still shows 1.2.1 (fb85) (because of this it also does not say that the mod is outdated) But since a previous crash because of to many armies got fixed after opting in for the beta i believe it installed it regardles of the wrong version number in the launcher

I never subscribed to the old mod and already tried unsubscribing manually deleting the mod and resubscribe but that does not fix it.

Edit: Maybe this can be the cause too, I play the game in german language.
Edit2: German Language seems to be the issue, setting the launcher to english the game starts.

Would you be willing to try the english version? This is the version I use. Though i doubt missing language files should cause problems and they should be there as well some of them are translated and some are just copied english files. If those are missing or lacking entries the worst case happening would be code lines being dieplayed instead of text.

starting the game in english works, after trying a few times in german again, the error log finaly showed something:

[22:10:48][pdx_localize.cpp:1083]: Invalid key name at line 63 and column 1 in localisation/mem_elusive_carcosa_l_german.yml
[22:10:48][pdx_localize.cpp:1138]: Expected quotation mark (") at line 1 and column 11 in localisation/mem_star_survey_l_german.yml


edit:
unziping the mod and replacing the 2 german files that have an error with the english ones and repacking it fixed the issue.

OK thank you very much for that information we will fix it as soon as possible. I am already working on a real german translation as i was not really happy with what i saw when i first looked into what was translated so far...

The german translation is not completed by now, but as we are now able to update, we wanted to push out a hot fix to solve the crash on start problem for the german localisation.

Game starts now with german language, but loading my save (82 years into the game without the mod) and advancing a few days I get 2 events first "Eifrige Unternehmer an unserer grenze" and second "Erste Händler kommen an." When Hovering over the choices for the second event (first traders) the game does not respond and i have to shut it down forcefully (i get the option for xenophiles import some delicacies and interessting for neutral). As I said when hovering over that option the game just freezes and windows tells me the program does not respond and does not work anymore and my only option is to shut it down forcefully.
Playing with Beta 1.2.2 and all other mods are disabled.

The error log shows:

This happens with english language setting too, so its not a problem with the german localisation as far as i can see
English name for the event that crashes is "First (empire name) traders arive" and the option that crashes is the xenophile option "great, some delicacies for me"
Just hovering over the option causes the freeze, can't even click on it.


EDIT: Loading another older game 150 years into the game i get the same 2 events but since i am not a xenophile in that game i do just get interesting as an option and that works without a freeze. Error log still shows the two missing modifiers even when the game does not freeze so they may not be related to the freeze.


EDIT2: looked into the eager trader events file in the mod folder and it may be important to note that the empire that triggered the event was a peacefull trader so I think its the event with id = mem_eager_traders.5 and the option mem_eager_traders.5.xenophile that freezes.


EDIT3: edited my save file to be xenophobe and individualistic to see if those options work. Hovering over the individualist option does NOT freeze but hovering over the option for Xenophobes freezes the game too.
For the trader event with rutheless capitalists all three options work (game does not freeze when hovering over them)


EDIT4: Pacifist option and individualistic militarist options work too.

in the event file the only difference I spot is that xenophile and xenophobe option starts:

(3tab) trigger = {
and the other options:
(1tab) option = {
(1tab) name = mem_eager_traders.5.individualist
(2tab) trigger = {

Less space before the name =
(when you press tab to shove the line a bit to the right)
seems the forum cannot display the formating correct even when in the edit window it seems right so i wrote the number of tabs you would have to press before the lines
