[BUG] Unable to Harvest Arms/Legs/hands/Feet
I remember doing this in previous versions, but I can't anymore. I don't have many mods, so I'm fairly confident it isn't a mod confliction.

Too bad, i really don't understand why you can havrest nose, heart, limb but can't havrest leg, arm, hand, ... (Or incapacitate my prisonners and sell his legs :B1:)
Please tell me is not planned to remove that :(

Ps: Srry for my bad english.

It was removed because it caused too many problems, bug and balancing wise.

Why did it cause balancing issues? I imagine limbs would be pretty cheap because there isn't anything special about them.

In my memories from using it in previous versions, it was pretty powerful. Removing all the limbs of a prisoner renders them completely unable to move or fight back, and each limb served as handy and plentiful replacements for colonists when injured (especially since a harvested limb is better than low-tier prosthetics and is nearly free).

If that wasn't enough, harvested limbs were also really expensive to sell, each selling for, IIRC, 500+ silver. You could get more from selling a prisoner's limbs than you could for selling your prisoner as a slave.

It was super fun, but introduced a ton of balancing issues.
you can still remove the limbs from your prisoners by installing a basic prostetic and then removing it.
This causes a big issue for me. A pirate shot my haulers foot off. Now I dont get the option to install a peg leg or anything else. Without this mod I can do it. I have to uninstall and stop endorsing this. Sorry to be that guy.:steamhappy:

Well, you need to craft the peg leg before installing it...

Yea but I would like the option to remove a prisoner's leg and give it to one of my guys. Kinda sucks to be stuck with petleg early on, your guy can barly move.

I guess it was not ment to be. If it caused too many problems to develop and maintain the mod then we will take what we get. Still an amazing mod, even without this feature.

Bugs:
Unfortunately the game has a problem with Limbs when it comes to surgery. Say someone loses a hand: You could cut the arm off, replace it, and they have a brand new hand! Magic! Unfortunately (As far as I know) this is a limitation of the game itself and can't be fixed.

This bug applies to everything down the whole line of surgery. IE: You could cut off a hand, and get all fingers back, or an Arm, and get Hands/Fingers back.

Arm>Hand>Fingers
Leg>Foot>Toes

Balance:
While research could mitigate how broken it is, arms/legs were basically free replacements for anyone who got hurt, and it completely breaks the prison system, especially now that they can do prison breaks and escape.

Man, came here trying to figure out why I wasn't able to chop the sexy the legs off a prisoner to make them my own. This makes me a little sad. If I'm able to transplant hearts and kidneys then legs etc should still be fair game. You still get the defbuff from harvesting so I don't really see it as unbalanced and I would vote to reconsider this balance change to the mod from previous versions :) Either way, thanks for such an amazing mod!
Maybe two versions could be released? A full limb removal, and a limited limb removal one?

The problem is that arm and leg transplants basically make cheap prosthetics worthless, and you can sell them for a ton, and it weakens your prisoners. Unless somehow there was an overhaul of limb grafting to include rejection, incompatibility, etc. to balance, I doubt limbs will ever be balanced to just remove and graft on.

Well, there is now ^^
But it's still broken, Winter Flare has explained perfectly why this feature most likely won't make a return soon.

I think it's better that limbs are unharvestable, it doesn't really make sense for limb transplants to occur without spacer level tech (i.e. bionics). However one suggestion I would have is to be able to amputate limbs without infection, returning a small amount of human meat instead of a usable limb. Having to install and remove prosthetics to remove limbs from prisoners and insane colonists is a little irritating.

Or, if you're adamant that legless prisoners are too imbalanced (heh), I would instead suggest disabling removing prosthetics from prisoners, that way you can give disabled prisoners peg legs to release them / let them walk around, without the ability to make healthy prisoners immobile.
