Brain Stim
Does that heal the brain? os does it do something else? And If it does something else what heals brain damage?

Brain stim and A.I chip both cure brain related injuries.

In the case of the stimulator it will only provide barely funcitonal stats. So if you have a brain dead colonist from a gunshot wound or whatever, the stimulator will at least get them moving around.

If they have alzheimers though, the stimulator is a major downgrade. If you use the expanded prothestics mod (and it's basically essential that you do) then you can craft an A.I chip that will return full autonomy if installed correctly. So it will cure alzheimers and fully repair any brain damage.

Asked this in the main comment section as well, but is there a way to remove brain stimulators? I put it in the wrong guy, and having him work at 65% conciousness is incredibly annoying. I've tried to insert an AI chip but the chip is made inert by the brain stimulator's existance.

good question, but no idea.

I really would like an answer to this as well, because I put a brain stimulator on someone, but now I have an AI chip that will fix them back up to full capacity. Even if I install the chip on top of the stimulator, the stimulator's stats somehow take priority.

Dev Mode Pawn tool "Restore Body Part" Selecet brain will wipe any implants on that part. iF YOU NEED THE PART BACK YOU WILL NEED TO SPAWN IT BACK IN. (Sorry abot caps hit caps lock part way through and did not notice don't want to re-type everything)

Yeah, I messed around with the dev tool and eventually figured it out. You can even use it to put the AI implant right back in. Its a shame that there's no way to remove the stimulator through actual game mechanics and even more of a shame that you are allowed to to install another brain implant which will be completely useless.
the brain stim is enough to get a brain dead pawn awake again, however there doesnt seem to be a way to remove it and its effects are permanent due to the removal operation seeming to be broken, and installing over it doesnt override its effect at capping your pawn at 65%.
