[LWT] MOD COMPATIBILITY LIST
Long War Toolbox Mod compatibility seems to be an issue for some, so I took the privilege to iron out those mods that I know that do not work alongside the Long War toolbox, please be aware that this is purely for your convenience I do not take any credits nor do I take any responsibility if certain mods all off a sudden don't seem to work.

I do not take any requests to test for you if you do not see your preferred mod listed here I am more likely not feeling the urge to use it due to either conflict with the already listed mods here or I am merely not eager to use them at all, you are, however, free to list your own mod compatibility bellow if you are willing to help others out ;-)

These mods work with Long War Toolbox but they also do work alongside each other, this collection aims to enhance your gameplay. It focuses overall to give you an alternate enhanced gameplay. Remember, the mod list is not complete yet and it will be updated over time as it does take some while to test every mod properly.

So far they do not give any conflicts in my current mod list nor do they give any indication that they do not work at all in its current setting, however, some are reported not to work and others may cause conflicts as the list grows.

INFO & INSTRUCTIONS:

With the above mod list setting the game is forgiving if you make tiny mistakes on easy but it will gradually start to get harder when you progress, if you go straight for veteran you will have a similar feeling in the early missions however when you start to encounter turrets you will want to avoid running directly into them or you will start losing your squad members fast. On Commander setting, however, the above is even more than true and at some point, I want to advise you to bring at least 6 soldiers with a few medic and sniper classes with you when you pass 9 to 10 missions.

For now, I did not tried on Legend yet for now but I bet if the Commander setting gives you already great losses you are up for a challenge beyond the vanilla especially if you are that kind of player that want to get every soldier out there alive as much off as possible ;-)

To be clear: The above mod list is CONFIRMED to be working under the following condition, USE the original provided .ini files who were presented by their authors, if you fiddle with their settings they MAY or WILL cause conflicts and will make the entire mod setting obsolete!!!

LONG WAR TOOL SETTINGS:

SET CAM ROT: 30
DEFAULT SQUAD: 4 at start 6 after 9 to 10 missions
DAMAGE ROULETTE: 25%
NOT CREATED EQUALLY: ON!
HIDDEN POTENTIAL: ON!
RED FOG: ALL
USE LINEAR RED FOG: OFF!
ALLOW COMBAT RESOLVE: NOOOOO!

For those that think that the above setting isn't working you are doing it wrong, follow the instructions as given and try again, if it works for me it will also work for you! I've been retesting every mod several times now and narrowed down the list to 44 working confirmed mods and 2 that I am not sure off yet due to the fact I did not encounter those enemies yet for now!!

I will not line up non-working mods anymore, Mods applied in this compatibility list will focus on working alongside Long War Toolbox but also along each other, if there are any major conflicts caused by other mods or the mods or the item can not be confirmed to work within this compatible mod pack, then I will restrain myself to list that mod from now on.

If you want every mod to be tested out single handed to work with only the Long War Toolbox then I advise you to test your own list. This Compatibility list aims for stability, harder but balanced, gameplay, various improvements, and minor cosmetic enhancements.
  • If you have issues with the above mod setting it is advised to delete the files in the following default pad, C:\Documenten\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame, After launching a new game new files will be created which will most of the time solve the issue.
KNOWN ISSUES:
  • After the latest update of the games and mods I have listed above the bugs were narrowed down to almost O for me the only thing I could encounter for now is the bellow clipping issue if any other will rise up I will list them here.

  • Clipping may still occur in the after action report when you try to upgrade your characters directly trough the embarked After Action Screen it is therefore advised to continue and do the upgrades trough the armory to bypass this until they have fixed it.

Can't confirm this as of yet but I will keep testing it until i am supposed to be able to have the option to upgrade. For now, it doesn't give conflicts crashes while it is enabled.

I've given them permission in a separate discussion to incorporate the code for "Show Enemies on Mission Planning" into Toolbox since I am not aware of a way to make mine compatible with Toolbox.

I think this is due to the fact that the toolbox contains additional stat overhauls like not created equally and hidden potential.

I added it to the not working list ;-)

Sadly for some reason I can't get the Toolbox to work with other mods. Even single mod (I tried Capnubs' pack and Evac All one at a time, might try one more later on to be completely sure) enabled alongside breaks Not Created Equally, Hidden Potential and Red Fog parts. Not sure if I'll check whether validating install will fix it for me - I made some changes in the original .inis and redoing it would be a pain and tho I'm aware this exact thing may be the culprit here I don't know I'll go through this for one mod.

@Kevin [LHQ] could you confirm for me that in your tests with Toolbox + other mods Not Created Equally worked as intended for you with all rookies (original and acquired during campaign)?

I'll try and keep an eye on this list, thank a bunch to the community for helping test these out, as there's no real way I can test compatibility with all the mods out there -- not and actually get anything done :)

The Alternate Mod Launcher may report possible incompatibilities between Toolbox and LeaderPack, since they do interact with some of the same classes, but there is quite a bit of code that was added to the March update of LeaderPack as well as present within Toolbox to make the two mods compatible. In fact, LeaderPack squad select functionality should in general by better with Toolbox, since it allowed me to fix the issue of soldier pawns not being present initially!

Regarding the camera rotation -- it should be possible to remove the class override (in XComEngine.ini) for XComTacticalInput. This will disable the camera rotation functionality in Toolbox, but allow interoperability with other mods that want to override it. The specific line is :

+ModClassOverrides=(BaseGameClass="XComTacticalInput", ModClass="XComTacticalInput_LW")

Note that the Option menu option for Camera Rotation will still display if this class override is removed, just the functionality will no longer work.

If you had any mods before, they may not be cleaned out properly disable all mods go to "default pad" C:\Documenten\My Games\XCOM2\XComGame and delete every file you find there, once don launch a clean game and activate the above mods this will most likely solve your issues.

in regards about not created equally i can confirm that it does work with the above mod setting as intended, some have better stats then others have larger range can walk further, they do have better or worser hit etc so yes it does work as far as i can tell ;-) this is if you do not fiddle with the .ini files your selve because they stayed untouched on my behave!!

Unfortunately deleting said files did not solve my issue. As before only recruits I got at the start of the game before the Gatecrusher have random stats. Every other soldier I can thereafter either recruit from HQ or pick up from the PoI site has the same basic stats. I will later run integrity validation to check if this is indeed due to my ini tweaking or something else.

Not sure why you encounter this but I can not relate to such a thing for now, I will keep testing it tho :-)

Im not sure which mod is interfearing with it, or if it the mod itself, but after making sure no mod that is incompatable is loaded. after the Gatecrasher mission waiting for it to load the scene of landing, it doesnt get to it and it crashes.
