ARK: Survival Evolved

Shigoislands
Issues with the map or mods
I just loaded this up and started my survivor going. I can say up front that the awesome little bay at Mizuka Island where you spawn in has a flock of Argent on one side, a wandering scorpion, and in the water is a school of manta. Those seem to be pretty hard for a level 1 to 5 character to face. Is this normal spawn behavior?

The server has PrimitivePlus, which a glance at the engram list seems to all be there. The only thing broken so far is that the 'campfire' will not work. Putting either thatch or wood in it will NOT bring up the "light fire" option. The "big campfire" that is part of P+ works fine.

Hey,
Thanks for playing this Map and telling me yout thinkings about it ^^
This map was first designed as a pure pvp map and its getting changed over time.
The starting in this area is kind of hard but the more ressources you can find be your reward.
There is a newbe Starting island (Arashi) with easyer spawns and more ways up the cliffs but
now amound of endgame ressources.

I really like all the little shallow bays. I found a spot on the coast not too far from the location referenced above that only has a couple dilo around (I passed a red beacon... singing giant dodo, lol... on the way to my new spot). It has a secluded shallow pond, lots of palm trees and rocks. I've gotten myself up to level 15, so I have a raft now and will be able to explore a little more.

I do have to say that I hope the terrain smooths out a little bit in other spots. The elevation changes are very harsh and make No-Fly a lot more restrictive. Of course I did find a few un-finished cliffs I am sure you are already aware of.

One other thing I've noticed is the lack beacons. I've seen maybe 3 in my time, and all but the red one was up on some cliff I could never get to in time (or safely). It would be nice to see the frequency of these bumped just a little bit.

**edit
Is the mod list you use on your server considered a requirement? Is this why beacons and spawns are a little off? The server I am on has Auto Torch, Builders Helmet, and Resource Stacking that I know of. And, as mentioned above, has P+.

Spawned on the beginner location you suggested. Much friendlier. There are manta in the water though, which could be tough. I would also be kinda nice to see the number of lower level dino bumped up in that area. So far I've not seen many under 30, which is likely where new people would get their first tames. And that would also help with getting hide, which is sorely needed to make saddles and other things at low level.

Is it normal for the server "build" to be blank in the server list when running the map?

So I just finished a grand tour of sorts after a painful ptero tame. I can see now what you meant about it being made for PvP. About 98.9% of the shoreline is a 90 degree cliff. You've done great work on all the waterways, inlets, and bays. But for me this can't be a place I settle in to for PvE. It just isn't fun traveling around. I look forward to your next map, or a major overhaul of this map! You've definitely got skill in map creation!

Thanks for checking out my map, i know that is is not a map for everyone. and i try to make some changes to make it more PVE friendly in every update but its hard to change a map this hard so i try it step by step.
