Ideas for PvE
Hello!

I have a Private/Modded server a group os us have been using for lightweight, fun gameplay. We've rotated through all the normal maps over the last several months, and as a group have settled on yours as the next map we'd like to use! ;-)

In case you'd like to know, here were some of the factors that played into that:

1. It's relatively very complete. The entire map is populated with "stuff", and doesn't have huge, vast tracks of barren wasteland with nothing in it. Since we expect to spend a large amount of time in the water (coming from Scorched Earth and looking forward to Subnautica-style underwater bases!), we also like that you've been some extra effort into the nautical biome.

2. It's not over-populated with stuff. Several maps I tried out had far too many objects within a small space, making it difficult for even a good gaming rig to run. The game runs bad enough already. No need to make it worse. Your map runs smoothly, though maybe a little more loose rocks and stuff on the beach would be good.

3. It has great variety in it's terrain, while still remaining very believeable/realistic. The islands are very diverse. Several good caves are also a plus. And the whole thing just looks great. Awesome work.

We do have a couple minor concerns I'd like to address here really fast:

1. The water biome seems to be glitched/unfinished around some edges of the map. I noticed the underwater "fog" was absent in several places near the map border. Not game-breaking, just something I noticed.

2. The map environment is too friendly. One of the things we, as PvE players loved about Scorched Earth is how hard the map was at first. We all died SO MANY TIMES until we finally got our first base established. Part of this is the weather. The sandstorms, lightning storms, heatwaves, etc all play into the gameplay. I don't know how hard it would be to implement some of these, but I really hope you can find a way. The big one for me though, was how universal the map tempurature seems to be. Why is it room tempurature when I'm surrounded by snow? Why does it only drop to freezing when there's a blizzard going on?

So finally to some it all up:

-We love how complete it is, and how smooth it runs. And it looks great.
-Can we make the environment a bit more hostile? Especially in the snow? Dropping the tempurature alone would be a major improvement in this regard.
-Add all the new dinos. For our gameplay I could just spawn a bunch of them in manually, but it would be way more interesting to come across them naturally.

Thanks a bunch!

Hello,

Sorry for the ocean bug with the blur, it get in after an update where i need to remake the mainlevel (just like the raineffekt after rain) both will be fixed in the next update.

Temperature zones have not been updatet since i add the bigger snow biome and the desert i hope i get this into the next update too but cant promis.

Thanks for the good feedback this helps me allot to make the map better.

That's fair. not a huge deal. Is it difficult to change the tempurature zones? Just curious. I've thought about making a map myself but haven't touched the construction set. Still love the map. Did a test-run with some guys on it the other day and they were overall really happy with it.
