What version of ARK are you running? What other mods are you running? Which order is Homing Pigeon stacked in?
I am currently investigating this bug. I have added it to the known bugs above. Will look to resolve soon.
Can you confirm that the mod is running? Press 'Esc' in game and look at the description text below the menu options. You should see the following text if the mod has been activated for use:
Mod: Homing Pigeon
Mod Description: You die. They fly.
Yes that is correct. Do you have any other mods running on the server? I suspect one of those modifies or remaps the Argent in some way that my costume restrictions (which currently targets the classname of the flyer) is not working. I have a possible solution to the bug, but it would help if you could confirm whether you are using any other mods and what the stack order of your mods is.
The problem occurs with all flyers. Not with one specific.
Our server is up to date. The mod is correctly installed as far as i can judge.
We do have a whole bunch of mods running and so far all other mods seem to run fine.
I could imagine some mod conflicting since we have a few that are related to dino's.
Maybe sorting loading order would help? I tried different orders already but so far no luck. You might can give me a tip there what combination it could be so i can try reordering?
Here is a link to an list we made for our users:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Wd7WjkQ4j3Ir89RmJKmXr0Wiv4qsg2OEYWRUgO4o8FU/edit?usp=sharing
The list atm is not equal to the loadorder. If you want me to copy the loadorder let me know.
This is more or lest the order that we added mods in the past. So it is easier for users to track what is new.
Thanks for the info, this bug will be one of the first I will look at. I haven't investigated it yet, but I am guessing that because I am restricting the equip based on dino class name, if you're running another mod that remaps/overwrites the classname to something else, this is why you can't attach it.
If I'm correct with that, then the fix should be relatively straight forward, as I will change it to target the dino by tag instead. That way it should still be compatible with other dino mods, providing that those mods are still using the default tag names for the dinos that they have remapped.
Awesome i can confirm. Removed the mod on my testserver and it worked.
For now will wait for PommieGamer his fix but otherwise removing the natural wild life since people seem to really want this mod over natural wildlife if they conflict. So PommieGamer give us please a headsup if the conflict can be solved. Thanks for all the effort.
