Both thats for the mod in general and the easy to find answer to the long war quesion
So don't expect any updates from me for a week or two, because I at least need to wait and see how things are balanced after the first patch.
Doesn't seem like anything is truly gamebreaking. The loot mod gives you more lockboxes than you can reasonably research, and it ends up being a huge credit source. But you can always ignore that, no rush for me to release a patch just for that. Nothing that causes the game to crash is what I'm getting at.
Should probably lower selling price by quite a lot then, since supplies seem to be a lot harder to come by in Long War 2.
In fact, even in regular XCOM 2 I made way too much money just selling green lockboxes, especially if they were wanted that month (50 a pop).
Also, is it possible to just make lockbox items both non-moddable and non-strippable? Because otherwise it'd be way too easy then to just strip really good mods (Superior Dragon Magazine, Superior Custom Stock, etc...) and put them all on one uber-gun.
Your weapons are not going to feel as awesome as in vanilla when a player can craft all the mods they want, can make better guns than what the mod randomly generates using them mods (apart from the epic/legendary broken stuff) and there are SOOOO many soldiers loot has to be shared around now and more grimyloot can be in a battle at once due to the increased soldier cap. Not to mention suddenly getting a mega OP super thing out of no-where in a mod all about a resistence salvaging what they can. being held together by duct-tape feels really out of place and players can't really spare research on opening lockboxes now.
Your main concern you raised on reddit was stacking mods to make OP mega weapons but if you make every single Grimyloot count as the same part then you can't have more than one Grimyloot part on a weapon. If possible you could alternatively balance your loot by making really good weapon parts have significant downsides (as in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mod baked into it) and/or have them take up multiple mod slots so the player has to make the choice between many lesser parts they can find/craft or the amazing thing they looted while still allowing multiple grimyloot on a weapon.
