So I twisted your idea a bit into something I'm working on now called "background traits"
Basically their traits that give your characters a "background" based on what traits/attributes your character has. The have their own bonuses, can be added in the ruler designer and I'm adding in events to allow players and the ai to get them naturally in the course of the game if they meet certain conditions.
So far I have War Veteran, missionary, and thief.
I'll finish tweaking their balance and attainability and then release them along with the 3 other traits I've already finished.
Thanks for the inspiration :D
Some ideas for lifestyle traits I have include:
Brewer, Vintiner, Baker, Chef, Artist, Botanist, Zoologist, Anatomist, Engioneer, Astronomer, Astrologer, Goldsmith, Silversmith, and Jewler.
-Feared traits, for example you have the psychopath trait and have a penchant for blinding/castrating traitors - nobles would be scared to encourage their kings ire? (I admit i'm not certain how you would make this type of trait but the events could lead to all kinds of entertainment such as 'I know my wife cheated with the king but he is scary as heck so I'll just pretend everything is a-okay)
I've been enjoying your already added traits etc and would love to see more :)
(I'll edit this as I think of more)
and also though about christians getting a knight trait, like the germanic have the viking. as knights was a thing as early as the charlemange era i dont see it beeing an out of place trait. and ofc a squire trait to go with it.
and i havent tried this mod yet, just found.. so i dont know what war veteran does, but i was thinking that the sword skill trait from Agot realy should be in the game.. dont know yet if the war veteran is the same..
i know i took all of these traits from the agot mod, but it realy have a lot of traits that should be in the original game.
I'm going to make a version that removes those traits for CK2 Plus users. I already did so for the HIP:VIET because someone requested it. I'm not removing them from the main mod as it is called "vanilla version" for a reason. Not everyone uses CK2 Plus, just like not everyone plays vanilla or AGOT.
Nope, not at the moment. Should only need one of that addon adds new traits.
The "Perfects" is a religious trait only given to cathars. This term has been used since very late XII century to refer to the cathar monks (that between themselves they used the term "Bonhommes", literally "the good men" in old occitan). The "Perfect" trait would be very similar to the celibate/monk/nune one, however it haves more into it:
-Be the opposite of hunter, duelist, hedonist, lustful and drunktart (the perfects were known for reject eating meat, avoiding to have a live full of "sinful activities and reject any kind of violence)
-20 martial (because they reject violence)
-100% fertility (because they reject carnal pleasure)
+5 diplomacy (The cathar monks used to go outside and deal with priests outside and monarchs)
+5 learning (They dedicated most of its life studying and for make teological debates)
+2.5 health (Because their diet avoiding meat and alcohol)
-Cannot inherit
-Cannot be rulers
-Cannot get married (they did not belive in marriage)
+Women can be "perfects"
I think this trait is on the CK2+. It would be a great addition to add it here for the ones who don't wnat the CK2+.
