An Issue with Downloading the Mod.
Issue (Short Version): The mod will not download.
Issue (Long Version): When downloading the mod (with any browser), the mod will download perfectly fine until around 200 MBs in, where it will then corrupt itself (?). I can access the .rar file through Google Chrome (it still considers the file complete, even with "corrupt" files), where I see that the only things that are downloaded are a few empty folders and the install .exe file. Trying to use the .exe file tells me that the download was corrupted. The mod did work before v6, but since then I can't seem to get it to even download properly.

Probable Cause: There is a file that my browser/computer can not download (or, more plausibly, a file type).

What I Have Tried:

  • Using a different browser to download the file
  • Snooping around the browser settings to see if there are any settings hampering the download
  • Using a different computer to download the file

It seems to be a problem with the mod in general, the same thing happens to me but only 50 MBs in.

I am Having the same Problem Exsept When i Unpack the rar file all there is is .TxT files and normal files nothing for the mod itself

It looks like the Part one link is missing and the others are broken. These need to be on the workshop here or in the Game Banana files. Not on a personal file server.

I don't exactly get any of those problems, maybe the first few times but it wasn't exactly like u guys said. After a while, I managed to download it but that wouldn't work. So after a while later, re-downloading and stuff I managed to make it work and well, that was it. I'd say u should just try it again a few times and It will work on its own.
If it takes too long or u've been doing it way too long I think it rly is broken but it worked for me and I downloaded it pretty recently.

The only thing I can't do it actually have the bots use hats and weapons, I found the cfg file saying stuff like add bots weapons and hats and stuff but didn't manage to have it work or anything.

This post was from a long, long time ago. I kinda forgot about the whole issue, especially considering the most recent major update to the overhaul mod somehow fixed my problem.

As for your concern, in order to actually access the features in the TF2 Bot Overhaul Mod, you need to enter "-insecure" into your properties box for the game. It took me a while to figure that out. (Note: for the duration of having "-insecure" in your properties box, you will not be able to access any sort of public servers, so make sure to remove that from your properties box before booting up the game if you're planning on playing on a public server.)

I know this is 2+ years old but for anyone new seeing this you don't need to add -insecure in launch options if you use the desktop shortcuts provided by the mod.

I can't get it to work can someone help me. I go to put it into the game and the bots just act normal.
