Will use this for all armor suggestions.

Only drawback to the SE so far is that the height of a character is currently hard coded, Which is why the model in this mod looks so weird, its meant to be 7ft (2.1m) tall, next to the Engineer it looked great, but the game forces all characters to 1.8m (6ft) tall so It looks a bit skinny or small.

So naming conventions.
Currently this mod shows up in the list as Mjolnir Mk5.
However with Marines Ive seen at least 4 different types.
--Radio Marine (M / F)
--Squad Leader (M / F)
--Scout Marine (M/F)
--Marine (M/F)
Plus visual Differences Which will probably be done with a texture change/minimal mesh change.
Marine - Facemask
Marine - Sunglasses
That way when you look at a marine in the list you know which one your getting. :)

Sangheili (may need a model to template with, and will need custom anims):
Ranger (3, Reach, 4), any armour that can be easily augmented to have an air-tight look.
Kig'yar Ranger. Grunt Ranger. Promethean Soldier. Promethean Soldier/Knight hybrid (Fotus set, look at it then a Knight, then you'll see what I suggest). Promethean Knight (may need custom anims for tool usage, modified rig, etc...).
Also, you could have the Spartans/Elites/Prometheans/Maybe Brutes (requires custom model) wear the standard jet-backpack, albeit some modifications will be required.
As for Spartan sets I'd like to see, I would suggest the Hyabusa, the Reach 'camo' cloak thing, and a standard Noble-6 sort of Spartan (with said jetbackpack) with the Tacpad.
