Comes highly recommended, but...
Could someone give a nutshell explanation of what it does. Maybe I'm dense but I didn't get a good sense of what it does besides "change some boss fights" and include some other mods.

TLDR : the major change right now, for the Fallen Guardian, Grell, Mordrox and Plunder Clove, is twofolds
  • You fight in close quarters if it was not already the case. This means you fight in a closed environment, you can't go back and kite anymore. The space to fight in is still relatively large for the Fallen Guardian, but I will surely change that after I am done with the second point. However, in Plunder Clove, you will clearly notice the difference.
    On a side note, in the current video, you can see that just after I enter the boss area the gate closes. This is not the case in the vanilla version, and that's what I wanted to emphasize.
    I wanted to make a video of the Plunder Clove fight (since it's a lot more noticeable there), but I am quite busy this week.
  • Perhaps the most important change, these bosses replenish their health when you die. This is to avoid what is called corpserunning : you damage the boss, you die, you resurrect and damage him again and repeat until he finally died. This makes most of the boss fights not fun because it's yet another monster to defeat (except that this monster takes more time than the others).

I want in this mod to make you feel that the bosses are important. However, it's a work in progress, and i still have a lot to do.. But when this mod will be finished, I am intending to have the following changes to the boss fights :
  • Always fight in close quarters
  • Boss replenishing their health when you die
  • Tone down the one-shotting abilities (I am making a playthrough with an Outlander in parallel, to test how one shotting their abilities are)
  • Add new abilities to the bosses : more abilities to avoid, but less one shots. That's the general point. I had already started to do that last year, with another mod - you don't have to take this video for serious, i was merely doing that for fun, but i guess you can deduce that i will do something like that, but in better

The boss fights won't be the only thing I want to change.
I have some random notes here about some change ideas.
But I guess I won't do it before I'm done dealing with bosses, and this will take a good while.
