The solo mode tactics discussion
Hello I wish to start a thread specifically on solo playing the Gem TD. The purpose of this is because

1. single player gem selection is VERY limited.
2. the maze stones are also VERY limited.
3. Lucky chinese jade might not have enough time to recover your HP.
4. We surely are going to skip some unnecessary combined gems in solo mode.
5. any simpler maze feeding 6 rounds?

Turtle maze seemingly feeds solo player and 6 rounds, I am still trying on this maze.

Awesome.I've been trying blocking off west and north paths and spirally the centre. Get to around 20-25 but have found I need correct gems or you lose fast.

Either skip malachite, huge malachite and uranium or skip the pink diamond variants =P

Your maze is the good one.

I think if you want to succeed in solo mod you need more luck than in other mods. I always remake if i don't get at least 2 "one shot" gem before wave 8 (like malachite or silver in 1 round). the center of my maze is always a ruby and if i don't get volcano before wave 16 or 18 i remake.

If you are not going for the V shape at bottom (in which very costly in solo mode), then mostly you are having 3-5 rounds. perhaps the classic
1. from left to center,
2. right to center,
3. right to upper right
4. spiral at center.

makes it easier to u. not sure it's similar to your maze.

agree, either choose

1. silver route (not requiring malachite, perhaps only uranium 238), or
2. malachite route (with one silver)

That is not good because the creeps only go through your maze like 1.5 times(dont go fully through second time). where as other mazes use much less blocks but make the creeps go through up to 6 times.

totally agree, this isn't the best maze, the best one makes creeps going through your maze 6 times.

Turtlemaze is pretty nice in solo mode. But even with dark emerald, lucky chinese and uranium 235 (and some more) the lvl30 doesnt even get below 1/2hp...
I never got a stun on it, was I just unlucky or is it immune to stuns?

you have lucky jade. erm.... you seem to be really lucky in having those gems, and yet unlucky not having the stuns. the stun should work. and yes... perhaps b4 b5.

i find out the chinese diamond maze is good even for solo.

I always build a maze where they run 5 rounds with very few stones and thats enough for ground, I pretty much never lose lives against ground units. the problem with this TD are the OP air levels. You can have a maze where they round 30 rounds, you will still lose to air.
