If it were the god, perhaps he could receive an event at the demi-god's birth to either cast the child out or take it in as his own.
If it were the child, he could receive an event as he came of age to either rebel against his parent or be loyal, depending on his traits? This could be tied in with the "War" of the gods as well. The traits that cause a god to turn evil would turn a demi-god away from a good parent, and traits that cause a god to turn good would turn a demi-god away from an evil parent.
Those are great suggestions. I plan to expand and diversify the events in this mod and I will for sure add those. Right now, if I figure it out quick enough it could come in the next update. But no promises. I am currently focusing on an RPG event to become a God through the game without using the ruler designer, as well as adding in Goddess traits, and fixing the aging effect of the traits.
Once those are finished I will upload the next version and begin to work on this.
You must balance the Traits. That's problem number 1. In relations between the characters a real mess.

The Holy sites dont really make sense to me, but i dont think those matter to much.
Other than that, i love it. keep it up!
A quick proof of concept I did using your mod was create the file thegods_on_actions.txt and put it in the on_actions folder. It worked atleast for me.
